@George-K said in Long after the fact...It's real.: We should ask 51 former and present intelligence specialists their opinion. Maybe they'll publish an ad in the paper. Ya know, there's a rumor floating around those 51 people were contacted by current (at the time) CIA employees...

@Mik said in Racing the rain: And unnaturally green relish? I am out. Used sweet relish. Out of sport peppers, too, but peperoncini works fine.

@Klaus said in Credit Card Weirdness: Apple pay and Google pay both use virtual one-time credit card numbers when you pay. Your real credit card number is never revealed. Every time I've used Apple Pay the last 4 #'s on the credit card were on the receipt - the CORRECT 4 #'s. That's why I found it odd that "0909" appeared on the printed receipt. That said, this vendor JUST started using Apple Pay, so it might be that other, older, systems aren't doing that yet? I dunno....

When I say "he did", I only give too much credit to the narrative. I only acknowledge that he is a central component of the narrative.

Wow. I would have thought that maybe something like the US thanksgiving holiday would have been more popular.

The Conservative Party....if it wins the general election. Stop, stop, I'm going to hurt myself..... Prime Minister Rishi Sunak said he believed bringing back compulsory service across the UK would help foster the "national spirit" that emerged during the pandemic. Rumour has it that he's got a nice job lined up in the US when if he loses.

@George-K said in Who Dis?: @Horace said in Who Dis?: Since it's so obvious, I guess the answer is someone who is impersonating Brando. Billy Zane All credit to the makeup team. Now if voice and mannerisms came through, that would be to Zane. But not in a still.

I agree on right to repair. Our 2010 Camry just needed a torque converter. My mechanic could have done it but the electronics needed to be flashed and only the dealer can do that.

It's not a bad business. Problem comes when you have people who get behind in their rent or who abandon their belongings. But there are ways to screw them over...

That's great. In 2023 there were 128.4 million households in the US, plus businesses. So we'd need about 200 of those.
