Cancer research is actually pretty popular at the end of the day. And every senator has at least one big research university in his state.

@Doctor-Phibes What an incredible funding opportunity! Nothing like funding initiatives to "prove" something true. Certainly no confirmation bias baked in there . . . not to mention a hypothesis already rejected ad nauseam. "This time we'll prove it right, if we just give enough money to the 'right' group'!"

@jon-nyc said in Counseling works.: It’s a story about a man saving a stranger’s life. What could be more wholesome than that? LOL. A good take on the story!

If that's for real--I like that lots and lots. I kind of think that's a show, they certainly "hype" the tubes. I had a Magnatone M15. I used it for R&R and I used it for my stereo. 30 tubes I think--but most likely less. [image: 1755979621582-90385fda-5111-4ecf-af1e-2f319e9978c7-image.png] Let me add: I rewired both my 6 string and my 12 string for stereo. Each pick up on the guitar played through a different side of the amp. It created a wall of noise (as opposed to a wall of sound.) I was cool, though.

They may have been looking for reasons to deny them. Which I fully support. They should never ever go free.

Apparently in the interview with Trump’s criminal defense lawyer, the one that led to her (uniquely for a sex offender) being put in a minimum security prison where she could take Pilates classes, she said Trump’s a great guy and she never saw him with underage girls. Whew! Glad that’s all behind us.

https://www.straitstimes.com/world/united-states/trump-buys-more-than-100m-in-bonds-in-office-disclosure-shows Since January, President Trump bought over $100 million in bonds, including corporate, state, and municipal bonds. The filings reveal more than 600 financial purchases since January 21, covering sectors potentially benefiting from US policy shifts. Trump's annual disclosure showed over $600 million in income from various sources and assets worth at least $1.6 billion. But “President Trump’s net worth has increased substantially, with much of that concentrated in crypto holdings and Trump Media. Given that, there is no evidence currently that his bond purchases are anything other than a prudent diversification within his billions of dollars in assets,” said Mr John Canavan, lead US analyst at Oxford Economics. “It seems like he was primarily purchasing corporate and municipal bonds and others that are high quality and highly rated, so it’s just a way to take a little bit of risk off the table,” he said.

I guess that Nvidia lets employees buy up to 15% of their salary in company stock, and they sell it to them at a 15% discount. (DOnt know if there is any matching by the company or not.) There was some mid level engineer at Nvida who did this and recently retired with USD$62MM!!
