I just watched this documentary, Knucleball, last week on Amazon Prime. Niekro plays himself in a few brief appearances.
There are not many knuckleballers left.
Everyone tries to throw it, very few actually make it. We had a catcher who used to throw knucklers back to the pitchers as a joke. It drove them crazy, it was hilarious.

I know it was a pretty lame dad joke, but still...
I mean ... you said you talked to your neighbor. That was a dead giveaway.
It's not difficult. I've raised $10K in two different grants for my alumni association in the last couple months. All of my documentation emphasized that we were a very low overhead all-volunteer charity that was in no danger of going under. They have no resources to validate these things.
Fraser-Urquhart and his fellow volunteers will be paid about $5,300 for their three-week stay at the hospital’s specialist diseases clinic, where they will be monitored around the clock, the Mail Online reported.
Needs many more zeroes...
@mik I tried to read The Stand in, oh, 1988 or so. I just couldn't get into it, and gave up about ⅓ of the way through. It really soured me on King, and then I thought I'd give him another chance with Salem's Lot. Wow, wow, wow, what a great story.

But of course they're not from Minnesoooooooota.
There are very few Wise Men in Minnesooooooooooooooooota.
And no virgins......,
Maybe that's why we have so few wise men. They're too busy to get wise about anything.
