On Amazon, 8 episodes. Really well written, told, acted and filmed. Been watching it while I exercise.

Well, that was interesting.
As Reason says in the article above, it's the "unglamorous" world of narco-trafficking.
Unglamorous is the understatement of the week.
What a sad, violent, depressing, and brilliant mini-series. I think there was some "filler" material in there (the "Sharia" episode, for example) but overall it tells a great tale.
I enjoyed the way they did flashbacks. It was not distracting or confusing. They showed one series of events, and it seems pretty clear about what's happening. In the flashback, you see the "behind the scenes" part of it, what led to the events you saw earlier.
My only criticism of the storytelling was that the first episode was confusing, introducing a LOT of characters, and you don't know which ones will be important later on. Also, the restaurant/meeting flash-forward was unclear, until you saw the background to it. Having seen the second episode, I rewatched the first, and it made much more sense, because you know who the major players are going to be.

I really liked the way they did flashbacks once I got used to it.
The last scene at the new boss's house was inventive and brave. Manual and Emma are very, very interesting characters.
