    Rain is the great leveler.

Obviously, this doesn't apply to American motor "racing", where the race is typically cancelled when it rains. With all due respect to our colonial cousins, it would probably be a good idea to get the hang of turning right before venturing out during a rain storm.

Jowl bacon is awesome. I bought both that and guanciale the other day. Wanted to try the jowl tonight. Was great.

MFR got pretty well schnockered. She was funny but feisty and sleeping now. ❤️

    absolute number of votes difference

Is that really a valid measure, considering the population growth?

For example the absolute numbers of Adams v Jefferson are small; is that a valid comparison to say, Bush v Kerry?

Exactly. That is my point. Statistics can be made to say anything.

    My previous comment was this:
#1 President Trump received more votes than any previous president candidate

#2 Presdient Trump lost the popular vote by one of the highest margins ever

Both sides use the same data to say how popular/unpopular President Trump was. Both statements are true, but also misleading.

When I was a medical student, doing a 12-week rotation in anesthesiology, I would spend Saturday mornings in the library. I would go to the stacks, pull out the oldest - well the oldest that were relevant - copies of Anesthesiology, Anesthesia and Analgesia and the British Journal of Anaesthesia. and go through them - perhaps two years of journals for each journal. I'd spent the entire morning there and learned a HELL of a lot. My (ex) wife didn't understand why I wanted to do that.

But, yeah, by lunchtime, that would've certainly been me.

lol woke white people are so racist, truth. I really feel sorry for them and their internal struggles with their own horrible racism.

But the cis gender white are tragically miserable in their heterosexual relationships so doesn’t that even things out???

    Seems karmically balanced, yes.

One of the nurses I worked with (re)married to a guy who is some kind of cruise ship guide. I'm not sure what, exactly, he does, but he's written several books about cruising.

    She loves it.

Most of them would have voted for Trump. Both elections.

    Yes

    But unfortunately they are dead

So they voted for Mr. Biden

    Interesting article. Thanks for sharing.

In Thailand, in Kanchanburi, is the "Bridge over the River Kwai". Pretty "moving" place to visit.

There may be protocols but I think they are by no means standard. And you are right - we should know more by now. I think all that effort at treatment just kind of fell by the wayside once there was a vaccination.
