    From the article:

"The bulk of the cases are individuals trying to avoid tax liability."

A bunch of freeloaders who want all the benefits and privileges but unwilling to shoulder the corresponding responsibilities. Good riddance.

The typical response by people who don't make much money. Another way of saying what you just said is "Get back here so I can stick my hand back in your pocket."

I am sure in your world they would not be free to go where they pleased.

The idea that you should be taxed simply because you're a U.S. Citizen, even if you live abroad, is really dumb.

        Nobody else does that.

        I was only joking

Read the article. Yes, there's one more.

OK, Captain Pedantic. Eritrea does it too, which it makes it a great idea!

What's interesting is looking at the trend over the last 20 years.

Pretty flat until 2008, and then, with the exception of 2012, a steady rise until 2016.

Then a steady fall until 2020.

                I know, correlation isn't causation....

Don Regan said many years ago, there are four kinds of money.

                    1. Poor people
                    2. Middle-class people.
                    3. Rich people.
                    4. People with "fuck you" money.

The third category probably doesn't care, while the fourth certainly doesn't.
