Not that I'm in the market to buy a pair of pliers, but I appreciate videos like this.

    SpaceX: Hold my fucking beer.

    Link to video

    Just FF to about 22:35.

"On board this launch are 85 commercial and government spacecraft (including CubeSats, microsats, and orbital transfer vehicles) and 3 Starlink satellites. While there are fewer spacecraft on board compared to Transporter-1, this mission is actually launching more mass to orbit for SpaceX’s customers."

This is the 8th, EIGTH, mission for the first stage booster.

My concern is the opposite of George's. I can't make out from the reviewers' comments whether one kit will produce enough salad. Guess I'll have to experience a cycle to find out.

    https://www.cnbc.com/2021/06/29/who-is-most-at-risk-from-the-delta-variant.html

Number crunching the latest data from England, 92,029 cases were analyzed between early February and mid-June and were attributed to the delta variant.

Almost 82,500 of these total cases were recorded in people under 50 years old and a majority (53,822 cases) were found in unvaccinated individuals.

Among those cases in the unvaccinated cohort, the vast majority were in the under-50 age group (52,846 cases) and only 976 cases were in the over-50s.

Nonetheless, the data showed that there have been 117 deaths among people in England who had the delta variant with the majority being in the over-50 age group.

There have been eight fatalities among the under-50s with six of them in unvaccinated individuals and the other two in people who had received one dose.

@copper said in Biden 'low intensity war' against Iran backfiring:

I don't think failing is the problem.

I can't imagine that democrat congressmen care whether it fails or succeeds.

The problem is that it is undeclared.

Congressmen think he should ask them for permission.

Congress wants more power. That is how I read this article.

Just something to chew on...Several months back, COVID tests were of the PCR type and pretty hard to access. Today, rapid tests are ubiquitous and other testing types are more available.

That means that there are more tests being done. For example, anybody admitted to the hospital gets a COVID test. A lot of patients who present with with any of the COVID symptoms, will be tested. Even many of the doc-in-a-box shops now test.

So...Are all these tests being reported? And what does this do to the stats?

I think you are right and the reporting of cases has always been suspect to me, but rapid changes in patterns should be viewed as legit.

Hospitalizations is a good metric and deaths should be going down with high vaccination rates. Deaths and hospitalizations in states with low vaccination rates seem like a reliable stat too.

Yeah, the grill pan was a little disappointing in performance. I am sure I will find a use for it, but I’d rather sacrifice a veggie or two to the grill gods than sacrifice how well they taste cooking directly over the coals….
