The indignity of it all! Aqua: I can pitch in and give you my two cents if you think it'd help. Nah, Renauda's worth fitty cents at least This is starting to resemble a scene cut from a Marx Brothers’ movie.

@george-k said in The (not so) Magnificent Mile: Two years, I'd thought nothing of walking to the train station after a concert (about a mile) at 10 pm. Not sure I'd do that now, and cabs are tough to get. This is on the route I'd take from Chicago Union Station to Symphony Center. Today... Link to video

Before I retired, a plastic surgeon with whom I worked invited me to drive his Maserati. I don't remember what model it was, other than it was a two-door. We just took it around the parking lot of the hospital, and it was wonderful. It was just so...Italian. It wanted to hug you and kiss you. "I'll forgive you for your fuck-ups, Baby!" it said. Unlike the German cars which make you obey (and I drive an Audi).

@horace said in Rogan Speaks: Rogan's guest noted that calling CNN "mainstream media" is not accurate. They are "corporate media". I like that, it's way more accurate to describe most "news" outlets as "corporate press". I think I'll start doing that.

If we still had a leader in the White House he would declare this a national emergency and run over California. But we don't have a leader now.

If it's not a mandate then why is Biden calling it a mandate? Why are tens of thousands of people about to lose their jobs? It's amandate.

interesting story. Thanks for sharing. Cemeteries are always put me in a melancholy mood, especially those that are dedicated to soldiers. Each of them has a story and it unfortunately ended in a place far from their home, on unfamiliar ground, and without their family and friends around them.

@jon-nyc said in Desperate to hire? Maybe not.: @aqua-letifer said in Desperate to hire? Maybe not.: That's not a fucking job. It’s a ground level opportunity in a startup. Very typical in Silicon Valley. You get underpaid with equity upside. Yeah, I'm familiar with the model. What I'm saying is, the "company" who wrote that particular ad won't last the quarter.
