Worked with a Polish lady who had defected from behind the Iron Curtain. She was a pediatrician back home. In America, since she couldn't get her license, she worked as a technical rep for Beckman-Coulter.

BTW, how you know that line in Forrest Gump is bushwa...No Southerner says "peas and carrots", because when we think of peas, we think of field peas. The green peas are pretty much always referred to as English peas, green peas or sugar peas. We do eat English peas and carrots or green peas and carrots, but not field peas and carrots.

@george-k said in Bill Clinton Hospitalized: Discharged: Former President Bill Clinton was released Sunday from the Southern California hospital where he had been admitted days earlier for an infection. Clinton, 75, was released around 8 a.m. from the University of California Irvine Medical Center after he was admitted Tuesday with an infection unrelated to COVID-19, officials said. An aide to the former president told the AP that Clinton had a urological infection that spread to his bloodstream, and that he was in an intensive care section of the hospital but wasn’t receiving ICU care. I still want to know what caused the urosepsis... Unprotected anal sex with Hillary?

The coal companies are experiencing a shortage of miners. They are actually paying bonuses to work in the mines. For some jobs, they're even paying relocation expenses.

That’s a big one! And it seems to mimic more than just a snake’s head. Together with the pattern on the lower wings, it looks like a complete snake. Nature is indeed amazing.

@jolly said in It's good to know the ortho doc: Who uses hard casts nowadays? As recently as 5 years ago, a lot of people I worked with used hard casts. However, plaster was rare - usually fiberglass.

https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-58943184 The 25-year-old is being held under the Terrorism Act and officers have until Friday to question him. The BBC understands Mr Ali was referred to the counter-terrorist Prevent scheme some years ago, but was never a formal subject of interest to MI5. Whitehall officials told the BBC that the man being held was Ali Harbi Ali, a British man of Somali heritage. Police said a man, who was held on suspicion of the MP's murder in Essex on Friday, was now being held at London police station after being rearrested under the Terrorism Act. We may never know the motive...

Painting the entire state of Texas with the same brush because one nutjob made a stupid suggestion is silly. Especially when the nutjob is just expressing the same leftwing thinking process that you defend.

@george-k said in Lung delivery: I'm not sure, other than proof of concept, they were trying to show, especially in a city like Toronto. I doubt they would trust a drone to fly a precious commodity like that cross-country. Exactly. They saved one minute. And risked losing an incredibly precious and scarce asset.
