@jon-nyc said in Rethinking the Lockdown:

His IFR estimate is, to say the least, heterodox. And his entire argument rests on it.

Would be nice if it were true.

First dose effective in two weeks and 30-40% asymptomatic not tested are other variables.

I'd rather play golf in 97 than in 27.

Meh, it’s all about dew point, for me.

It resonated with me other than the section on the validity of the concerns over election fraud. My contention over that has always been that the left would absolutely cheat in the election if given the chance. I mean rank and file TDS sufferers, not just powerful people in smoky rooms. Righteous hatred, such as TDS, will necessarily convince people that they should do anything it takes. But I did always trust that the systems held up, and I do think Occam's razor is that Trump just couldn't admit defeat.

Good piece. Especially among the plethora of 'glad he's dead'.

Not at all. His lead is not being followed. He led with healing and unifying the country. He can abandon it. But if it is a goal, I will point out every time that it is not happening .
Putting forth a rhetorical bill is particularly spiteful.

Trump incited a Capitol invasion, cry me a fucking river.

Don't let hate get in the way of your intelligence.

Dont let them rewrite history to fit their narrative.

Nobody is rewriting history. You're entitled to your own opinions, but not your own facts.

    Familiar

Every night for months in Ann Arbor the windshield needed scraping

    Scrape at midnight
    Scrape at midnight
    Scrape at midnight

That is how I remember Ann Arbor

Me too. There was snow on the ground from January through the middle of April.

I suggest the best way, if one really wanted to avoid tears, is with swimming goggles.

Is Ira promoting a book? Why, yes. He is. And Maxwell is in no position to comment one way or the other.
