Interesting. There is one thing about Taiwan that I dont think most people know - it is actually very mountainous. Probably 2/3 of the island is mountains, and it is only along the western coast that the land is pretty flat and that is where most people live. However, I do not think that mainland china will "physically" invade. I think they would try and blockade us. Probably try to damage the port of Kaohsiung in the south and near Taipei in the north.

@george-k I dont think so, unless in very specific instance small isolated or island land mass (Taiwan, New Zealand, etc.) has to be done with other measures A. strict contact tracing B. quarantine of all arrivals c. etc I agree that it is like you have said - it just postpones things, does not prevent things.

Here it’s still pretty much everyone in stores. In the summer it relaxed just a tad - down to 80% masked maybe- then when delta came it went back up. Oddly the gym is virtually massless. I’m either the only one when I go, or one of two.
