I remember reading about a lady from Illinois - small town, and she was the office manager. Managed to steal a ton of money. EDIT: Here it is "The extent of the fraud was staggering. Rita Crundwell had first opened the fictional account in 1990, meaning that she had successfully stolen from the city for 22 years before being arrested. In those two decades she stole over $53 million from a city of less than 16,000 people. Dixon, Illinois— known for being the boyhood home of President Ronald Reagan—has now gained the distinction of being the victim of the largest municipal fraud to date." Dixon Illinois Fraud

I don't know. It seems like the patients undergoing to more dangerous procedures would tend to be older and sicker to begin with. I'm a little surprised that anyone dies from cataract surgery.

@Klaus when we had the house, our backyard looked pretty much like that - Kozy Koop, treehouse with slide, lots of trees. It was great for the kids, but not for the adults when the rains came. [image: 1648818429186-screen-shot-2022-04-01-at-8.05.08-am-copy.jpg]

Sad, because I used to like some of his stuff. That’s kind of ironic because his peak neo-con shill moment was boosting a foreign adventure that you supported. Still do. Next.

Kalus McCleod, the thickly muscled claymore wielding Nordic warrior in a kilt. TG, shame on you for picturing that. Klaus is not an object.

Our excise tax on cars is $25 per $1000 of it's value. A bit of a nasty surprise this year.

@Horace said in For the antibody testers among us: Oddly “mixing and matching together” seems to go better with “are good” rather than “is good”. But the “together” should indicate you are treating them as a single system of actions. Which you are. But they're still separate actions.

Jazz singers are a necessary evil that are brought into the band so that people will turn up to listen to the rest of the musicians playing their solos.
