It's good and easy. You really can't go wrong with KAF recipes. My fave is the recipe from Peter Reinhart https://www.101cookbooks.com/best-pizza-dough-ever/

Yes, Wolf Trap is in the high-rent district. Maybe Georgetown dorm rooms during the summer. The subway goes near Wolf Trap now. George Mason is closer and has dorms, but it's not right on the subway. And the Georgetown area would probably be more interesting than WT for a 20-something, an urban college and professional area. WT is suburban bedrooms.

Guilty A jury on Friday convicted a former Nashville nurse of reckless homicide and impaired adult abuse after she was accused of inadvertently injecting a patient with a deadly dose of a paralyzing drug. The jury deliberated for approximately four hours in a trial closely watched by nurses and medical professionals from across the country, many worried that the case could set a precedent for medical errors leading to criminal charges. RaDonda Vaught, 38, was indicted in 2019 on two charges – reckless homicide and impaired adult abuse – in the death of Charlene Murphey at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Murphey, 75, died on Dec. 27, 2017, after being injected with the wrong drug. Murphey was supposed to receive a dose of Versed, a sedative, but was instead injected with vecuronium, which left her unable to breathe, prosecutors have said. “RaDonda Vaught probably did not intend to kill Ms. Murphey, but she made a knowing choice," Assistant District Attorney Brittani Flatt said Thursday during the state's closing arguments. "Made a 'knowing' choice?" No, she made a horrible error. "This wasn’t an accident or mistake as it’s been claimed. There were multiple chances for RaDonda Vaught to just pay attention," Assistant District Attorney Chad Jackson said in a rebuttal during closing arguments. Yes, as I've said: read the f'ing label.

Go on, you know you want to. I'm a terrible asshole about those, too, unfortunately. Because it was once my job to educate the masses on them. How did that go? "Too unhealthy to get up the nasty steep hill? - BUY THIS BIKE! It's like exercise, only easier!" Nah I mean it was literally my job. We got a power meter, some fitness trackers and tested the bikes for a couple of months. The athlete I worked with has some pretty hardcore Ironman and International 'Cross racing times. They made me do the stuff, too, just to see the difference. She smoked me of course, but there was no difference in terms of what the bikes do for you.

It screams of cherry picked anecdote to support a narrative. Which is no proof that it's not by and large a true narrative, but still.

Although he took flying lessons and received his pilot license in Virginia, he had very little experience flying the Cessna before his rescue attempt. It was the owner of the flight school (a 1946 West Point graduate) where I worked that taught him how to fly the Cessna 310. He told me this story. Afterward, he was visited by men in black suits, he knew nothing about the flight to Cuba. But he had a pretty good idea what might be going on.

@Horace said in Norco dose frequency: My first visit was a smashing success. I got there 30 minutes early to fill out paperwork, as they instructed, and I completed it in 10. Missed an important work meeting for it. Then I waited for another 30 minutes, 10 minutes past my scheduled start time, when the reception guy came up and sheepishly asked me if I had the referral paperwork from my doctor. I told him I did not, and asked him why he wanted to see it. It was because the physical therapist assigned to me had no idea what my injury was. No information whatsoever about her new patient. I let the reception guy know that I could let her know what the injury was. So I was finally seen, 20 minutes late, and she gave me exercises to do, all of which involved stretching the joint to a fuller range of motion, and flexing the quadriceps to straighten the leg. Hm. It's almost like that's all there is to possibly do. Anyway, A+ appointment, grading on a curve for PT. Will go again. Wow. Does not inspire confidence, does it? At least you know what the exercises will be, so if they continue wasting your time, you can do the exercises in the waiting room. I can see why you would rather just do them at home.

@89th said in How are y'all? What's new with you?: @brenda said in How are y'all? What's new with you?: @89th said in How are y'all? What's new with you?: Hi @brenda - I'm just thawing out from my first MN winter. Starting some spring projects... also just painted our kids' playroom today. This weekend I'll put some stuff on the walls and that'll be another room done... So how was your first winter here? When you're done working on your own house, I have projects waiting for you at my house. The first winter was fine. I like the cold, so it didn't bother me although I heard it was much colder than most winters. It seems like December through February is the true heart of winter with temps often in the -10s... but there are a number of really nice (and some, free) indoor fieldhouses, playgrounds, pools, etc. So no shortage of things to do. When the kids get a tad older, it'll also be nice to go cross country skiing at some nearby parks that have miles of paths. Anyway, now it's nice to be outside and I'll start doing some jogging-stroller runs... it's also nice to be outside before any mosquitos arrive, too! LOL You were destined to live in Minnesoooooota!
