@Horace said in "An Update With Regards to the Current Situation": How about Elden Ring? I might have to upgrade my PC for that one. Never got into a Souls game but maybe I’d like Elden Ring even more because of that. I tried Bloodborne on the PS4. It was freaking hard. I gave up eventually. If you're lacking in patience, I wouldn't do it, although I must admit I've been tempted by Elden Ring.

@89th said in The "Camera Bump": Jobs would never have allowed the camera bump. Can you imagine the flame-spewing, obscenity-laden tirade that Jobs would have unleashed at any designer who came up with this idea? Probably would have been fired on the spot. I understand the need for a "thicker" camera. But, ffs, integrate it into the thickness of the whole phone and gimme a bigger battery!

@George-K said in More annoying than Kamala's cackle: An impromptu poll: What's the most annoying laugh in politics and TV? Kamala Harris Hillary Clinton Tucker Carlson I'm really leaning toward #3. And they're all fake laughs, too. Really hard to pick, I would say Hillary's is the most annoying, followed by Tucker's...but Kamala's is the most annoying from an impact perspective since she does it to cover her real and serious policy ignorance.

Alright, probably a dumb question. The melting snow (and lots of rain today) has awoken the sump pump. It’s been going off frequently today, which is good. However it’s going off every 2 minutes or so. Enough that I opened the pit cover and saw that it indeed goes off to remove a few inches of water but when it’s done, the water level rises back to the trigger point again, within 2 minutes. Here’s the stupid question. I don’t see any water coming in through the drain pipes (you can see the two black pipes in the pic) so is there any other way water can seep into the pump well? I presume not and, if correct, imagine I need to repair the check valve so that water being discharged up the discharge pipe isn’t just cascading backwards into the well.

The left doesn't really want to be clear about the strong connection between homelessness and mental illness. They prefer the down-on-their-luck narrative at every turn. Just another narrative that doesn't fit the facts, but who cares about facts when voters can be marionetted by their virtue strings?

I've started listening to the Audible version - and recommend that if you have an interest in the book, that you go for the audiobook version as he uses audio recordings of him playing the examples of pieces that he is discussing. He intersperses the life stories of himself and his parents along with lessons he has learned concerning music and piano performance. I'm only up to chapter 3 - so a ways to go - but so far - a fun listen.

I think the ratio should be similar between BA.1 and BA.2.

The smart play is to participate in and vote for a political culture that will forgive all student debt and work towards erasing financial stratification of society altogether. Just a few more generations to go.
