Reminds me of Aldrich Ames. All those years he was getting money from the Russians and living a lavish lifestyle with his (rather demanding) wife, buying homes, cars, jewelry and no one noticed for a long time.

I remember reading about a lady from Illinois - small town, and she was the office manager. Managed to steal a ton of money.
