Tried a PC with significantly better specs. Sucked. Could NOT render video files to save its life. Have a Mac now. Works.

@Jolly said in Recidivism: I used to work around a lot of cons. Some are very talented...woodworking, welding, etc. Some are even college graduates. But if you talk to the guards and the wardens, they all say the same thing. The prisoner has to admit in his mind, his crimes and take personal responsibility for his own actions. He needs to leave his old neighborhood, his friends, sometimes his family, and make new friends, a new job, a fresh start. Religion does help. More inside than outside, but it helps. Yes, you put them in the correct order. I would add that there is a 'user' mentality for many of them, meaning they want to use other people without caring whether it hurts the other person. Some even like to make sure the person they are using is also harmed by the use/abuse. It makes them feel powerful, smart, and proud of themselves.

I dunno. I pulled some nubbins yesterday morning and cut the corn with a knife, then cooked it down in a skillet. Didn't have complaints.

@kluurs said in Tonight's dinner - leftovers: Have lived in OP for 45 years, driven past a gazillion times - never tried their pizza. We will have to give it a try. Do it. I first found it when their one and only place was in Berwyn. Must've been 1976 or so. Very traditional. Whatever you order, be sure to put "extra cheese" on it...

But, as long as we're on the subject, check out Cherry Poppin' Daddies' version of "Come Back To Me." The lead singer's voice is perfect for this type of music. Link to video "Fly Me To The Moon" Link to video "The Lindy Hop" Link to video

OK, maybe not a very popular kind of puzzle lol. Anyway, here's the solution: click to show It is true that the limit of s-n is the circle. It is also true that the limit of the length of s-n is 4. However, what we need here is not the limit of the length of s-n, but rather the length of the limit of s-n, and there is no reason to assume that they are the same. So, it does matter where you take the limit.

I'm with jon for the most part. We already have some platforms that do not allow for anonymous interaction, and lo and behold, they're far more civil. And there doesn't seem to be a downside to that. Couple that with the fact that anonymity is really an illusion anyway—Libs of TikTok being a perfect example—and I don't think I can say that I'm absolutely for it.

@Jolly said in Happy holiday: I was up about two hours before you posted, getting my fire going...Mostly pin oak with some mayhaw. Chicken goes on in about 15. Have a safe and enjoyable 4th. Nice, gentlemen. I’m at a VRBO in the Poconos. Lake and pool for me today.
