I’ll wait for more information before leaping to judgment about whether Trump would beat zombie founding fathers and slave emancipators.

@jon-nyc said in The SHAME act: I think that list is already used for certain trade restrictions, the WaPo piece mentions that the bill references the Commerce Department’s list of ‘adversaries’ which now includes China Russia NK Cuba Iran and Venezuela. Trade restrictions are one thing, but lobbyists bring information, and information on an adversary's needs can be leverage.

Wasting other people's time and using their video without permission is not funny. I do hope those were his friends playing along.

Don't know about y'all, but any race down here has at least a half-dozen people nobody has ever heard of. If not for social media, nobody would.

Mirrors? It was on video. So they could be positioned just out of frame… They ought to take that trick to Penn & Teller: Fool Us…

@Jolly said in Thank you. Now leave.: @taiwan_girl said in Thank you. Now leave.: @LuFins-Dad said in Thank you. Now leave.: The whole point of the mandate is public health Exactly, and I think that the vaccine accomplishes this. I think that statistics show that vaccinated people are less likely to get sick, and if they get sick, less likely to be hospitalized, and if they get hospitalized, less likely to die. Now, tell me again why we are kicking a rescue swimmer to the curb. We shouldn't. As I said upstream in this thread, science and knowledge changes. We (generic we) need to change with it. However, in my opinion, it is something that is very difficult for public figures (for example, politicians) to either A)admit they were wrong or B)just change their mind when new information comes in

Saw a note that came to me that the OPEC is currently under pumping their stated output, so the actual decrease in production will be about 800K- 900K barrel per day. (Not a small amount of course, but a fair difference from 2 MM barrel per day)

@Jolly said in $5,000,000,000: https://www.dailywire.com/news/transgender-surgery-poised-to-become-a-5-billion-industry Fashion ain't cheap Remember when the permanent wave caught on? Price was no object. These things come and go. If the industry receives enough funding I expect we'll discover all kinds of new genders that will benefit us all.

For a wonderful moment, I thought you’d discovered a decent British newspaper and you’d been weaned off your Daily Mail predilection. Sadly, it’s the “New York” variation on a paper that even Murdoch couldn’t ruin.
