@Copper said in Jupiter last night.: Is that better or worse than what Galileo Galilei saw? Much better. The level of detail captured by the camera is even more than you can see though the telescope live. The two moons that are in the photo, are subdued by my rusty image processing skills. There is a better photo in this data. I just need to learn more about and get a lot more experience with the new tools that allow me to extract it from the data. I am also looking at a new camera. And getting to use a 17" behemoth of a telescope for my next attempt. Galileo's optics were very crude compared to modern optics.

Biden? Or his nonexistent crowds? Remember that hoot of a townhall he had with a dozen people, all six feet from each other?

@Horace said in Nobel Prize: "Spooky" explained: I wonder if an explanation theory exists? I was thinking the same thing. They say it is real, but I do not see how the proof is.

One of the giants of the country music genre - up there with Patsy Cline. Can’t even begin to imagine the artists she influenced. The real deal too - grew up knowing what hard times were. R.I.P.

Fennel is great stuff. So is apples and onions, and especially apples and cheeses. I discovered that in college when the cheapest thing in the cafeteria was a nice big red delicious with a hunk of cheddar.

It was an accident. The man who fired the shot that struck an anti-abortion rights canvasser in the shoulder last week called it an accident but also said the volunteer had been arguing with his wife, who supports abortion rights, and refused to leave their property. “I came out and she (the volunteer) is screaming and having a great old time, and being told, I’m sure I heard at least a dozen times, ‘You’re trespassing, get off the property,'” 74-year-old Richard Harvey, wearing a “Facts Matter” baseball cap, told News 8 on Tuesday. The shooting happened near Lake Odessa on Sept. 20. The 83-year-old victim volunteers for Right to Life, which says she was peaceful and was walking away when she was shot in the back. Harvey disputes that. Grandma deserved it. She was a "right wing nut." Harvey has admitted to firing a warning shot at Jacobson before shooting the elderly woman but claims it was an accident. Jacobson and her attorney say that’s completely false and point out that Richard Harvey had already fired a warning shot and Jacobson had turned away to leave the couple’s property in her vehicle. Now, in the new 911 call, Sharon Harvey tells the dispatcher that Jacobson :was in some coalition to stop the vote on Proposal 3.” Richard then adds, “She’s a right wing nut” — making his motive to shoot Jacobson very clear.

Over the past 40 years, we have seen a bizarre shift where as a whole we no longer understand the difference between causal and corollary relationships. Most unfortunately, this has even moved into science and medicine.
