Veracity of this news aside, it looks like it will come down to sensor network and computation power for the defense. Need a comprehensive, sensitive sensor network to take in lots and lots of readings, pretty fast network to gather/transport the readings, then do tons and tons of computation to tell real threats apart from decoys using those readings. Reminds me of the submarine tech race. Running “silent” used to be enough, but then given increased computation power, what used to be “silent” also get exposed under intense DSP scrutiny.

Megyn Kelly offers some advice to Don. Day 1 of Don Lemon’s “formal training” on how not to be a misogynist. Let’s help! Women are not damaged goods when they hit 40. Rape victims don’t need your lecture on how to respond to their rape. Women forgetting a fact do not have “mommy brain.” There, um… human. Screaming at your female co-anchor bc she interrupted you to the point where she runs away is considered rude & unprofessional. Postponing an ad break to mansplain to said co-anchor in front of the audience how to properly conduct an interview is an act of douchebaggery. Defending sexism w/ “some of my best friends are” (in the group I attacked) wld not excuse racism & it doesn’t excuse sexism. “I’m going to continue to be me” is not an acceptable plan when “me” loathes women. When under fire for misogyny, try to at least look/act sorry

Small bikes are good match for EV. Lighter and not expected to go long distance. No need to budget for in-cabin heating/cooling. More likely that it can get away with much smaller batteries, much shorter charging time, less stress on the electrical grid and charging infrastructure.

@jon-nyc said in "I made a little girl cry": I would have offered the kid the window for takeoff and landing. Well, truth is I’d have booked the aisle in the first place. With a little kid on the inside? Up, down, up, down..... the aisle would quickly lose its charm.

@Renauda said in The death of MAGA: And FDR was dragging them, kicking and screaming. After The Great War, many Americans had little stomach for U.S. boys dying on European ground. True that Admiral King and the navy were only interested in fighting the Japanese. Not so certain about the Army. They were pretty gung-ho about fighting Gerry. A lot of midwestern folks were not too impressed with Mr. Hitler and what he was doing to their ancestral homelands. AFC was strongest in the Midwest, especially in the Chicago area. The Army has an out-sized percentage of Southerners, even today. The South has an awful lot of Scotch-Irish folks...If they don't have someone else to fight, they'll fight each other.

I could see popping wolves. Wolves eat your livestock. Cattle? 150 cows ain't much, even out West. And this is forest, if I read it right. I grew up on open range, some of the very last in the continental U.S. Cows will keep down underbrush and keep the forest clear.

I wouldn’t be particularly impressed either way. Nor surprised at the truth. But the fact remains he went to a great deal of trouble to send this message to all involved.

Speaking of AppleTV, I watched the first episode of Hello, Tomorrow this afternoon. So very stylish for kids like use who grew up with the promise of flying cars and such. Fun.

I have no doubts this is genuine. In Putin’s world Ukraine and Belarus never really existed in the first place. In the case of Belarus, under the Lukashenko’s iron thumb for thirty years, it is an out of the frying pan and into the fire scenario for the people.
