Indeed, looting, vandalism and mischief are all far more civilized ways of flipping the bird than simply turning your back on the pompous protocol and decorum that acknowledges and celebrates an undeserving and narcissistic putz.

Meh, Copper mining is really frigging disruptive and an ecological disaster for the region it’s in. We need to get off this effing planet. https://pwr.edu.pl/en/university/news/raw-materials-from-asteroids-we-know-where-to-best-extract-them-from-10446.html

Specifically that Biden is considering it. No doubt he wants his freedom. As does his mother.

I have played with those simulators, it was fun. You will spend several thousand for a nice setup - too much for me.

Funny how he worded that. In reality, (almost) half the country will come together to celebrate it, so by his logic half-staff is appropriate.

@jon-nyc said in Paul Graham on the origin of wokeness: One thing I liked is the way he said that a proper explanation of its origins would account for why it happened when it did and not a decade sooner or later. Agreed. The timeline aspect is probably the most interesting part, as well as pointing out that it's really not a new phenomenon. The tolerant 60's were a reaction to the prigs of the day.

With all due respect to Prof Ferguson, experiencing the peak Trump phenomenon is wholly dependent upon where you happen to reside. I fully anticipate the very unpleasant stench of peak Trump to waft across the border in the coming week. It will take months of resolute and patriotic determination to refreshen the air here as a result.
