High risk, high reward.
Kid is from South Louisiana and was a highly-touted high school All-America. Decent freshman season, but was hurt and didn't play in all the games. First rattle out of the box in 2022 against Florida State, he messed up a knee and was lost or the year. He played last year, but I don't think he had the same quickness.
IF you can get the same quickness as the kid showed before going down in '22, I think he can play in the NFL.
Quickness is nice, but at his size can he move people? That’s key for this position…
He's not gonna play NT, that's for sure. I'm not sure bow well he will do on double-teams, as he plays a little tall.
On the plus side, he's 300+ pounds and ran around a five flat 40 recently. He's also pretty strong.
I've not heard anything bad on the kid, other than getting suspended for a bit...He had an autograph session before the NIL rules went into effect.
The Steeler coaches can evaluate defensive talent, they've shown that historically. He might be depth for them and they hope they get more.
