One of my partners was kind of an asshole. He was always throwing his weight around, and would do shit just to piss people off. For example, one day a surgeon had an urgent case to do in the early evening. He delayed and delayed, for no good reason. The surgery was going to proceed regardless of delays, so why not get it out of the way. But...I digress. One time, there was a rather (cough) large patient who presented for surgery. Well, this guy wanted to know how much she weighed, and unfortunately, at that time, the scales in patients' rooms only (cough "only") went up to 300 lb. So, he wrote an order, "Take patient to loading dock to have her weighed."
