Be careful...You know what happened the last time you and the wife dropped weight...

When I started the thread I managed to lose some weight but stalled. So I am back on the plan and making progress. I hope to be at 205 in 5 weeks, and after the trip I’m hoping to knock out a bit more. I’m eyeballing 195…
Not quite at the 205, but close... It's nice to be back within the limits (barely) of "optimal weight" for my height!

Anybody remember this thread?
I haven't being doing much proper exercise over the winter, but I've been fasting up until 11.30am1 about 4-5 times a week.
Down at 168 pounds now, which is 12 pounds lost for not much effort.

I'm trying to use my treadmill as much as my knees will allow. Lifting weights every day, but that's just going to increase my weight. One door to door salesman recently asked if I had played division 1 football. I was so flattered, I bought two solar panel arrays from him. I found out at install, that my home only had one roof. Awkward.

lol
They always tell me how wonderful my accent is, presumably because complimenting my physique would probably be construed as sarcasm.

I was translating it for the less well educated types we get here.

I haven’t gained the weight back that I lost during my year long gym absence due to Covid. I also took off about 3-4 months when I tore my rotator cuff last June. But I’m back at the gym, 1hr15 or so 7 days a week. I’m putting muscle mass back on, and I’ve started a treadmill cardio routine for the first time since well before transplant.

And they say Americans will use anything but the metric system.
The Brits use all the systems. Metric, imperial, Ancient Roman...we mix and match as necessary.

@jon-nyc that's pretty much spot on.
When I was a kid, older people would habitually swap between the old money (pre-decimalisation) and the new money, so you'd hear people referring to two-bob or ten-bob, meaning 2 shillings (10 new pence), 10 shillings (50 new pence) despite shillings not being legal tender, and occasionally talk of 'half a crown' - which was 2 shillings and sixpence (12 1/2 new pence). Posh people would talk about Guineas - 1 pound and 1 shilling, or 105 new pence.
The really odd thing was that nobody thought it was weird.

I failed miserably last year. I’ve been doing next to no added sugar since the beginning of the year, and not eating anything after dinner. And not drinking my calories. Sugar is probably my biggest issue. (It’s not 100% no added sugar, as some of the condiments/sauces and things I cook with have some sugar in them). I’ve got a long way to go, but so far it’s working (and it’s a lot easier now than it was 3 weeks ago).

Rowing machine for the win!! The only time I allow myself to watch certain shows is when I use it, so it is kind of a reward for exercising.

I do that too. If I ever find a serialized streaming thing that I'm interested in, which is rare, i try to keep it for my 'treadmill show'.
