Krugman picked up on Trump’s debt problem as well:
https://www.nytimes.com/2020/09/28/opinion/trump-taxes-debt.html
The most important revelation from the Times report, however, is its confirmation of another thing many observers already suspected: Trump has hundreds of millions in personal debt. It’s unclear whether he has the resources to repay it.
Personal financial trouble has always been a red flag when it comes to filling sensitive government positions, because it’s an open invitation to corruption.
So the confirmation that the nation’s chief law enforcement and national security official — whose business empire already offers many opportunities for undue influence — is drowning in debt is chilling.

Being a Republican, I generally do not vote multiple times, like some Demonrats. This year, I may make an exception...It's too much fun watching y'all screaming in the aisles at least once a week.
Re-elect Donald J. Trump!
Meh - he bothers me less than he used to for some reason. He’s an entertaining buffoon if nothing else.

I dunno, maybe that works for you. But notice which threads take off around here...They ain't about Biden. And that's the case in other places I frequent and some I check occasionally.
Most conversations are Trump-centric.

Biden is boring incarnate.

How, pray tell, did a shit businessman manage to get himself elected president?
Because the country preferred the unscripted internet troll to the scripted dirty politician.

Don't the details that were publicized mean that either he's using loopholes, legal though they may be, or he's not the successful captain of industry his devotees make him out to be?

It confirms what we’ve always known - he’s a shit businessman and a first rate self-promoter. The Apprentice kept him afloat and gave him a platform from which advanced to the presidency.
jon jon jon.
Please be clear. Is "we've always known" include everyone here, everyone in the world, everyone in the universe? Even God!!?? Could be, your mind-reading is that objective? And "always" must mean like centuries ago, like gravity, right? "We've always known...""shit businessman" -- of course!, but that phrase just wouldn't fit on the side of one of his jets, so what's a guy gonna do.
"first-rate self-promoter." That's true, I can't stand second rate self-promoters, know what I mean? Especially when he is surrounded by modest politicians, humble, quiet, deep. So many examples of humility in politics and all walks of life. Even Ax's piano playing!
I never watched his "Apprentice" TV show. Heard it had quite the following. Thanks for keeping him afloat, though. And from a TV show, advancing to the presidency. . . so THAT'S how it's done! I have been misled all these years.
And, I've decided that the Vette should be candy-apple red, with a tan ragtop. Definitely tan.

No, it's called licensing your brand.

The same way that shit actors manage to get themselves elected governor of California, and in some cases President?

I think he needs to not discuss it in the debates. Been audited, no laws broken, end of story.
According to Trump himself, the audit is still on-going, so you cannot yet conclude whether there is any law broken, the story has not ended.
