But you should probably give some credence to the fact that it's TMZ, and some young white guy anchors who are that seriously deluded by their own social climbing motivation.

https://www.nytimes.com/2026/06/12/world/europe/us-nato-cuts-drawdown-jets.html?unlocked_article_code=1.plA.LFbw.70yRFMhlJLYP The United States plans to significantly reduce the aircraft and warships that it makes available for NATO operations in Europe, according to two senior European officials, accelerating America’s effort to scale down the protection it has offered to European allies for eight decades. The decision would limit NATO’s ability to launch long-range strikes and conduct surveillance. It was communicated to allies in early June in a written document, parts of which were reviewed by The New York Times. The European officials, who were briefed on the decision, spoke on the condition of anonymity to speak more freely about sensitive military plans.

In a reasonable world she obviously would have faced no repercussions, assuming the narrative of the situation is as described. You sign your own death warrant when you steal from someone and threaten their lives if they attempt to recover their property.

It may end up being a godsend to the anti-data center crowd. About the only way I can imagine to remedy this is to make it very difficult to build them here.

Holy s**t I recognised him immediately from the best ever NCIS episode, where he plays an aging Medal of Honor recipient called Ernie Yost, tortured by his war memories of Iwo Jima. Who knew he was actually on the French beaches!

Yes. The biggest headwind he's about to face in the data center scandal I posted about this morning. He's not going to be able to support the contract and will have to offer some way out of that mess.

@Horace said: And you will never, ever convince me that you weren't a simple bald face liar when you claimed that your IRS colleagues were almost entirely hard core MAGA. You have a lot of explaining to do. Ask @89th whether that's remotely plausible. He's got lots and lots of fed worker contacts, and something tells me that his attitude towards MAGA hasn't evolved as a contrarian perspective within his personal social and economic network. I'm not smart enough to know what you're asking but I can tell you all of my conservative friends who work(ed) for the government, at the pengaton, FBI, justice dept, white house, congressional staffer, volunteer for McCain presidential campaigns, on and on and on.... all really cannot wait for MAGA to be over, and most did not vote for Trump after 2016 if they voted for him at all.
