TNCR Pandemic Weight Loss Challenge

Down at least a pound from last week (scale says 2 this morning, but we’ll see). Thats a 6 - 7 pound loss since Feb 1st. Still not as much exercise as I’d hoped. But pants are fitting better, and wore a pair I haven’t felt comfortable fitting into for awhile, so that’s good! Ate steak last night - Steve cooked it outside on one of his stoves - iron pan heated to smoking, added salt and steak - and flipped till the internal temp was medium rare - and wow it was good! I had a baked sweet potato and salad along with it and even 4 ounces of red wine and no headache today. Sweet/carb cravings are much less - and fruit seems to satisfy them, which is nice.

I am only eating, and making smarter choices, between the hours of 12:00 and 20:00
I typically make smarter choices between 12:00 and 20:00, too.
After 8pm, all bets are off.
That's me. Exactly. Always has been, and I hate it.
And I'm never hungry at breakfast time, although I love breakfast foods such as bacon and eggs, toast, etc.I fell off the wagon this weekend. Funny, when it happens, it's like "well, I screwed up, so might as well just enjoy eating everything in sight with the understanding I'll go hardcore again tomorrow."
Today is tomorrow.

I’ve been good about sticking to my home exercise schedule but don’t yet have much weight gain to show from it. Then again it’s not really a workout designed to bulk me up. I’m probably a month or so from being comfortable joining a gym. This is really just pre-conditioning of sorts. But we’ll see what happens.

I brought my new running shoes to Minnesota, while we house hunt. Also, there is a constant supply of beer, wine, and snacks here so I'm pretty sure I will be going in the opposite direction of this weight loss challenge.
But hey, I brought my new running shoes. Might even put them on later this week!

That seems excessive.

Ok, maybe just one shoe.

Presumably because they're not blue?

Are you at your in-laws place? They must love you to give you all the snacks and beer.

Need motivation? Print this out and put it on your fridge.

No loss for me this week either. Good news is I’m doing a good job about staying away from added sugar, and carbs. Bad news is I’m eating too much fat (cheese and nut butters were the issue this week!). And I did not get enough exercise. I was on my way to losing a pound, (scale was going down) and then I blew it this weekend and the scale went back up...

My wife kindly purchased one of those fancy digital scales that tells you everything. Thinks got ugly when I hooked up my phone and saw the statistics. Apparently, I actually weigh 180 pounds and I'm fat according to the stupid phone. Well, now I'm fat and depressed, and I've flushed the phone down the toilet.
Completely coincidentally, I went on the first bike ride of the year yesterday. I only managed 11 miles, and I was knackered, which was humiliating. I need to get up to 35 mile rides by the end of April.

Don't you hate when that happens??? Don't you wish the Diet Gods would cut us some slack once in awhile? You're good all week (well, sorta good) and the scale is frozen. You eat a third of a doughnut and whammo! you gain five pounds.
It's not fair.

I haven't gained jack. It will probably require me back in the gym proper. But I continue with the training here.
