I eat leberkäse every time I’m in Bavaria and was happy to learn that though the name means ‘liver cheese’ it has neither liver nor cheese.

The whole reason we call them illegal aliens is because they’re subject to our laws.

You’re essentially eating bodily oil filters.

Liver for whatever reason, always initiates my gag reflex.

Sorry to hear they. Does that apply to foie gras too?

It seemed so at the one time I tried to eat some. Most embarrassing.

I like foie gras. Also the Jewish version chopped liver

But in reasonable amounts. Yes a lot of cholesterol. But also huge amounts of iron from all the hemoglobin. So great for anemia.

Foie gras terrine might be the best thing I ever ate. Took a week to make it. Thomas Keller recipe.

Chicken livers wrapped in bacon is a favorite T-Day appetizer for me, and I have no problems with a fried beef liver with onions, though it has to be warm.

I like pig liver soup. Other livers, not so much.

                      1. Do you eat the liver in the soup as-is or with a bit of soy sauce?

                      2. Try pig brain soup! 😋
