I think not long from now when it sinks in a lot of Trump’s supporters are going to be pissed that he didn’t even try to introduce immigration reform legislation. I don’t think it would have been hard to pass something reforming asylum laws, for example.

Agreed, totally. If there’s no effort in this direction it was just an election issue.
