Back to the shooting, how was the guy expecting him to be out on the sidewalk at 6:45am?

People are creatures of habit? Or he knew the victim's meeting schedule and staked out the site?

I've read one report that he was there all night long, waiting. That would be a bit suspicious, no?

Yeah he had to “cock” the gun between each shot. Yes 3-4 shots. I have to run an errand later, will drive by his house. I wonder if there is a cop outside of it now.

He wasn't cocking the gun, he was clearing a jam. Looks like a pistol, maybe small caliber. (I don't see a lot of muzzle rise and I don't see the upward flash of a compensator. So if it's small caliber with a suppressor, there's definitely a paper trail. Especially on the suppressor.

He's not a pro. Bad location. Bad shooting. Too many cameras.

Okay, so he was a nonchalant and cold blooded amateur with a firearm he ought not to have had possession of in the first place.

We don't know about that - though NY firearm laws are strict.

I was wondering about the suppressor. Is that legal anywhere?

The CEO was there for an investor conference. My guess is he did not know the exact time, but somehow knew he would be coming to the hotel. The CEO looked like he was in a suit jacket so it was not like he was out for exercise it doesn't appear.

I don't understand why he put a suppressor on the pistol. According to RUnkle (in the video), that might have been the cause of the gun misfiring.

                Right. I have questions.

If he had the conference in that hotel, I assume he’d stay there. If so, why leave in your suit at 6-something?

If he didn’t stay there (let’s say he loves the plaza), why arrive so early?

But the huge question is, why did the shooter think he might see him that early? You might say ‘he came early to be sure’, and that’s reasonable to a point, but at the same time you wouldn’t want to remain there too long as it would look suspicious and they’d have hours of your footage on security cameras

                You were warned.

Thompson was probably coming back from banging the shooter’s wife. That answers all of Jon’s questions! Occam’s razor and all that.

Impossible. I was banging the shooter’s wife at 6am this morning. In the Avis garage at LaGuardia.

Merely a matter of perspective on handguns. Of no consequence.

That assumes a level of planning that may be over-generous.

As for why leave at such a time, I'm sure it's possible he had an off-site meeting with whomever about whatever—that kinda stuff happens quite a bit at conferences for any number of reasons. Might still turn out to be weird but I don't think it's reasonable to conclude per se this is suspicious.

But yes overall this is weird AF.

                        Please love yourself.

To me the suspicion is he had some knowledge of his schedule. Beyond the mere fact of his meeting in NY and the location. But more detail than that.

Yeah, to be out there waiting, at the right time, at the right place to be behind him at a time when there were few people out and around. I find it hard to believe it was coincidence or dumb luck.

Obviously we're all guessing at this point, but I'd imagine it's as simple as a disgruntled customer (who knew someone who died because of insurance denial) who knew of this meeting and that Brian would be there. I'm guessing he knew where Brian was staying and waited for him to leave, hopped on his bike and went over to "get ahead" of Brian, wait until he passes, and then takes the shots. Maybe not simple, but it was certainly the first explanation that came to mind after seeing the video.

Even that is inside knowledge. The default in such a situation would be to stay at the hotel where the event is.

I think I have cracked the code using google maps.

Brian leaves valet parking (red circle), then walks to where he is shot.

                                    image.png

                                    d5d18fa3-1f9c-4186-a4c1-b6b99d85bfa9-image.png

Alternatively, since he probably isn't driving himself and getting parking, he stayed at the luxury hotel across the street. He leaves this hotel, crosses the road (where the suspect sees him, and then gets in position), then as he walks by....BOOM.

                                    cb05eee4-18fe-47ef-a5d0-2015ebd03cb3-image.png

BUT! There is a twist. Look at these incriminating photos. Is this BRIAN!?!?!?1/1questionmark!? WITH THE SHOOTERS WIFE? AND WHATS IN THE GREEN DRINK!???!

These are in order of (google streetcar passing) sequence.

                                    BTW... no shortage of cameras.

The yellow camera is what we see footage from:

Here is where the suspect crossed over to:

If I was a CEO of a big company, I'd be thinking 'bodyguards' at this point

                                      I was only joking

                                        'Defend,' 'deny' and 'depose'

Shell casings found at the scene where the UnitedHealthcare CEO was shot dead by a masked gunman in front of a busy New York hotel had the words “deny,” “defend” and “depose” written on them, a senior New York City law enforcement official briefed on the investigation confirmed to NBC News on Thursday.

The saying, "Lite is just one damn thing after another," is a gross understatement. The damn things overlap.

I’ll withhold judgment until the shell casings get a chance to tell their side of the story.

                                          You were warned.
