@LuFins-Dad said in What the hell is going on?: @89th said in What the hell is going on?: All of the above? I do recall how much harder college was than high school. Could skate by in high school and get near a 4.0, but first semester of college was a wake-up call, literally. I would skip my 8am classes often only to realize... you can't do that and expect to perform well in a course. That’s true for every generation. How many classmates did you and @Aqua-Letifer have that flipped out and had to drop out for a semester? None that I recall. I vaguely recall a person or two in our dorm who didn't come back the Spring semester, but that's only if I really try to think of an example. @Aqua-Letifer lived across the hall from me Freshman year, do you recall any?

@Klaus said in Again I ask: Given that most guys at 17 would dream of having that opportunity, where exactly is the crime which justifies the jail time? The victim may identify as a young girl.

@George-K Indeed I was and will read again later. I overall agree with it although I still believe the war is primarily the work of Putin and his minions rather than the nation as a whole.

@LuFins-Dad said in Jolly and I will not be breauxs Sunday: @Mik said in Jolly and I will not be breauxs Sunday: Yeah, but you beat the Bucs. Good day. With our entire secondary injured. Seriously, it was all 2nd string and practice squad guys today. Bizarre. Saint’s whole receiver corps and QB were out. And they still took it to us all day. Add to that Cooper Rush with the Cowboys, Zappe with the Pats and we’ve seen a whole lot of second and third string great play this year

Cheating. If you watch carefully, he poured the beers out before the last part of his walk. That reduced the weight of the cups, which made them easier to carry.

@Aqua-Letifer This is where the Kremlin’s threatening rhetoric disconnects from the reality of the battlefield. According to the rhetoric, of course he could reply with nuclear force. According to military and even political reality it would be sheer folly.

It's almost like people are evolved apes who can be programmed and controlled easily by the culture around them, regardless of how nonsensical the culture is.
