Microtonal Guitar Institute presents Burak Akan playing Bach's Gigue from Violin Partita No. 2 arranged by Manuel Barrueco for the guitar. Burak Akan is a student at the guitar department at Istanbul Technical University, studying with me. We used Bach's student Johann Kirnberger's tuning (Kirnberger III) for this piece. The thirds are more natural than the 12tet in this tuning. For example, the tonic chord is D major with just major 3rd (D-F#) and a fifth (5.5 cents narrower than the perfect 5th). Here are the cents: D Eb-10 E-7 F-6 F#-14 G-2 G#-10 A-3.5 Bb-8 B-10.5 C-4 C#-12 Music: Violin Partita No. 2 in D Minor, BWV 1004 IV. Gigue Arrangement: Manuel Barrueco Guitarist: Burak Akan Guitar: Adjustable Microtonal Guitar (www.microtonalguitar.org) Burak Akan's YouTube: https://bit.ly/3IwmTF3

By the way, the way the ENT (or is it a chest guy) is using the laryngoscope is a sure-fire way to break teeth. Go to about 0:35-0:40 and watch him lever that thing on the incisors.

@George-K Why don't the French just keep tham? Are they racist or something? Only if they speak French with an accent or not at all.

These type of things are not new. I am guessing that the CCP (and even Taiwan) has had organizations like this in place for 40 years or more. Typically in Chinatowns, a lot of the immigrants there are illegal, and there have always been "community organizations" that help these people, outside the normal US authorities, who the immigrants don't trust. Some of these organizations have "unofficial" links to governments of other countries. The mainland Chinese may be becoming a bit more obvious, and that it why they were found out.

@kluurs said in Between Cotton and Cruz...: I don't think it's an "if" that the Republicans will gain the Senate. While it may not be a landslide, it looks pretty likely that it will happen. If it were 2 weeks off, who knows as every day something falls from the sky (either side) which changes the direction of things. It’s 54-46… I don’t think that’s pretty likely, just very possible.

Facebook and other big tech companies generally hire people with strong resumes. I'm sure they'll be fine by and large. But right now is probably not a great time to be hunting for a job.
