Those who cheered as J-6 American prisoners were locked in solitary for 18 months without trial, now suddenly fight tooth and nail for foreign terrorists’ "due process". — Buck Sexton

Feels more "Ken burns" than "Lost Classic."

Anyway, we kind of already have one:

        Needs a theme song.

        Link to video

In the Middle of the Earth, in the land of Shire
Lives a brave little hobbit whom we all admire
        With his long, wooden pipe
        Fuzzy, wooly toes
He lives in a hobbit-hole and everybody knows him

        Bilbo (Bilbo!), Bilbo Baggins
        He's only three feet tall
        Bilbo (Bilbo!), Bilbo Baggins
The bravest little hobbit of them all!

Now, hobbits are peace-loving folks, you know
They're never in a hurry and they take things slow
They don't like to travel away from home
They just like to eat and be left alone!

But one day Bilbo was asked to go
On a big adventure to the caves below
To help some dwarves get back their gold
That was stolen by a dragon in the days of old

        Bilbo (Bilbo!), Bilbo Baggins
        He's only three feet tall
        Bilbo (Bilbo!), Bilbo Baggins
The bravest little hobbit of 'em all!

Well he fought with the goblins!
        He battled a troll!
        He riddled with Gollum!
        A magic ring he stole!
        He was chased by wolves!
        Lost in the forest!
Escaped in a barrel from the elf-king's halls!

        Bilbo (Bilbo!), Bilbo Baggins
The bravest little hobbit of 'em all!

Now he's back in his home in the land of Shire
That brave little hobbit whom we all admire
Just a-sittin' on a treasure of silver and gold
A-puffin' on his pipe in his hobbit-hole!

        Bilbo (Bilbo!), Bilbo Baggins
        He's only three feet tall
        Bilbo (Bilbo!), Bilbo Baggins
The bravest little hobbit of them all!

The saying, "Lite is just one damn thing after another," is a gross understatement. The damn things overlap.

            You're more than welcome.

Should I link the Shatner "Rocket Man" video?

            Nah...

Is that Ava Gardner or Olivia de Havilland as Arwen?

This is a classic movie, probably from the forties, judging by the photographic style.

Just think...Look at the bevy of actors you'd have to play these roles...

Peter Lorre would have been a great Gollum, or Wormtongue come to that.

                I was only joking

You've got Niven, Leslie Howard, Carey Grant, John Barrymore, Errol Flynn, Vincent Price, Boris Karloff and a ton of other guys to pick from, including some wonderful supporting actors.

And the actresses...Bergmann, Olivia de Havilland, Vivian Leigh, Norma Shearer, Jeane Simmons, Claudette Colbert and again, a host of character actors.

                    Or go for laughs.

Who wouldn't want to see John Wayne lead the charge of the Rohirrim?
