@jon-nyc said in Wisconsin: The Soros talk among Republicans reminds me of the mental space the Koch brothers occupied in many Democratic heads in the pre-Trump era of the GOP. I'm waiting for Fox News to run a piece on foreign born billionaires interfering in the US and global political process.

Paxton (Texas) tried to sue GA, MI, PA, and WI for letting Trump lose and SCOTUS told him to take a shit on a plate and handed him a spoon.

I guess both sides of the politics are actually closer on this issue than ever before. Depending on which side you follow, insert your words below. "We cant have books in our school libraries that have words such as XXX or talk about topics such as YYY!!!! The world will fall apart if we do!!! DOWN WITH BOOKS! DOWN WITH BOOKS!"

@Mik said in This was a pretty big deal yesterday: Lost my attention at this impossibility. Pregnancy and maternity: As things stand, protections in the EqA for pregnant women and new mothers fail to cover trans men who are pregnant and whose legal sex is male. Defining ‘sex’ as biological sex would resolve this issue. South Park touched on this well over a decade ago: Link to video

Be careful how you throw words around and how you enforce Justice. Judges, Impeachment, Insurrection and Selective Justice. I think the Left already rues the changes to appointment of judges. I think they will come to rue the lowering of the bar to petty politics for impeachment. This is an example if how we have redefined insurrection. But in the end, the unequal application of Justice may have the farthest reaching effects.

And on another note...How many millions of dollars did yesterday's "event" cost Mr. Adams' city? The police cost alone was probably pretty eye-watering.

@George-K said in Rupert Murdoch Engaged at 92: @Doctor-Phibes i was going to make a snide response about it never running moist, but...nah. Vanity Fair quotes a source close to Mr Murdoch, 92, as saying he had become uncomfortable with what were described as the outspoken evangelical views of Ms Smith, 66. A lucky escape, possibly. Of all the ways to spend my twilight years, being proselytized at is pretty low on the list.
