@Horace said in Hey Horace (and other D&D folks): Interesting video from TreantMonk, talking about some of Kyle Brink's interviews with the D&D public. Brink is the face of the more modest and measured WOTC public relations after the disastrous "we both won" nonsense. What caught my eye was the part where he was talking to a black guy and someone of ambiguous gender on a zoom call. He was inquisitioned about the fact that he's a cis white male and that most of the power structure at WOTC were cis white males. He mentions that things are changing in that regard, and that people like him are "leaving the work force", and it can't happen soon enough, as far as he's concerned. He notes that he is "not the majority of the hobby" anymore. I guess that's the obligatory factually incorrect nonsense one must supply in one's public testaments to progressivism. It's like collateral when joining a cult. ladies and gentlemen, that is the normal psychology of progressive white males these days. Abject disgust at themselves for the fact that they are cis white males, and a virtuous desire to exit the culture by any means necessary. Maybe it would be less soul crushing for a guy like this, to just start sucking dick. Then at least he can have some self respect intellectually, as he allows himself to think honest thoughts, as a card carrying oppressed person. Seriously, are progressive white females that awesome that guys have to sell their souls to get along with them? I'm pretty sure they're not. Actually, I'm pretty sure it would be torture to be in a relationship with one, and still expect to have your own opinions about anything. The progressive testament in question starts at 12:40. Link to video Oh yeah, that's been making the rounds. Interestingly enough, because of all the good faith lost during the OGL debacle, it seems fans are more comfortable than you'd think calling bullshit on his shenanigans. Not at woke ideology more generally, but him in particular, which I suppose is still something.

I love how people compare Huckleberry Finn with Genderqueer to when discussing having a book teaching young boys how to suck the cock of older men banned from school libraries. And by love, I mean hate.

@LuFins-Dad said in Survey sez 78.8%: new inclusivity Yes, I wonder if the people surveyed don't consider inclusivity and equity to be political, about human/civil rights.

Yet, we have closed most of our mental institutions. Somebody like this should live out their life in a pastoral setting, staffed by mental health professionals. And high walls topped with razor wire.

@89th said in Parent 6th Sense?: Honda Odyssey. We’ve had Hondas for years and have never had issues. It’s pretty cool, lots of little features that’ll make road trips suck less. Big fan. We flip flopped between the Odyssey and the hybrid Sienna. I liked Odyssey better for the highway but Sienna for city.

@Axtremus said in The most fun he'd ever had...: “Informed consent” covers a lot of ground when it comes to sexual interactions, but does not quite work when the mentally impaired are involved. Certain forms of mental impairment may preclude an individual from being “informed,” yet permanently denying a mentally impaired individual from sexual experiences also seems wrong/unfair to such individuals. :man-shrugging: At what IQ level do you deem competent to give informed consent?

By the way, that six year old kid who shot his teacher in class a couple weeks ago, was black. He had threatened another kid on the playground with the gun that day, and the principle was warned about it. The school did nothing, possibly due to equity concerns with black kids being disciplined more than other kids. The school didn't want to deal with accusations of racism, if they did something about the kid.

@jon-nyc said in There will be pain: Copper quit smoking decades ago, golfs every day, and hits the treadmill regularly. Unless he has some risk I’m not aware of, I’d go 72 if I were him. He'll die much healthier.

@George-K For my colonoscopies, I wanted the milk of amnesia. Half way through my second prostate biopsy consisting of 22 or 24 samples, I thought similarly. Luckily the radiologist was ex military and we managed to tell tales through the last dozen or so.

@Jolly Korotchenko is a real piece of work. He regularly appears on Russian TV blustering on about how Russia should retaliate against this enemy or that enemy. Today it’s the USA. Ten days ago it was Israel, the week before that, Norway. That khuilo is a loud mouth of no consequence to anyone other than to himself.
