I wonder about the constitutionality of this bill. The people elect an individual based on their feeling that s/he best represents their interests. That should be independent of the party. -> should <- We've seen many Congresscritters switch parties in DC over the years. Can you imagine the havoc this would cause if it were proposed on a federal level?

I imagine the human equivalent to be a toddler choosing an empty box from a roomful of fancy toys.

Warm cocoa would probably be more appropriate at this point.

@George-K said in Favorite Brands by Political Party Affiliation, and DEI: It's about money, and if it generates more revenue - so be it. That's true, but I think it is more of a stick than a carrot. I doubt they make much more money by being diverse or inclusive. But they might avoid losing money to bad publicity, screaming and threats from the pro-woke. But if the anti-woke can create a bigger stick (like with Bud Light) the policies could change.

In 2019, when we were in Denver, D4 and SIL went to dinner and Mrs. George and I babysat G2. They rented some electric scooters. While at speed, she hit a bump in the pavement and came off. Broke her arm, tore up her elbow too.

That's rich, considering woke culture originated in academia, and woke culture is founded on obvious falsehoods, spread through the internet and all other means.

“Culture and politics don’t actually matter” is a hope, but not really a foregone conclusion. We’ll see. Or if we don’t, I’m sure the next generation will. Shit is going to get weird. Maybe a more cohesive attitude is to acknowledge that politics and culture might matter tremendously, but one’s control over it is minuscule. So you may as well care about other things.

By the way, I don’t really mind a pride display at Pet Smart. I already boycott the company because they suck anyway.
