@Jolly said in My kind of coach...: Hey, they play in the Black & Blue Division. All we need now is for Chicago to get a real bear. Game ends in a tie, turn loose the lion and the bear. Whichever mascot gets killed loses the game. Puts a point on sudden death endings.

If I was president, I would pass a law that said everybody's first name had to be their skin color. And everybody's last name would be Skin. The only reasonable objection I could see to this, would be that not everybody's skin is the same color all the time. Maybe after a lot of sun, skin would change color, which would force beach goers to change their names a lot. To account for this, I would also make it much faster and easier to legally change your name. And with that, the law is perfect.

We went to LA last year, and it was a lot nicer than I expected. I really like San Diego. I go there from time to time with work. It's a great place to eat when somebody else is paying.

Sokolov's performance has been criticized for being "too slow." I still like it because of the "ponderousness" he portrays. Link to video

@Mik said in $1B Loss: When I was there in 2016 it was one of the most beautiful cities I'd ever seen. Yes, that's what I thought in '14. Loved it in '16. When we returned in '17, there was quite a shift, and by '18....

When the mainstream institutionalized left isn't busy cashing virtue checks about being protectors of the oppressed, they are punching down at the millions of "losers" that they hate.

I think the turnout will be quite high from both sides for the upcoming President election. I think that the voter analysis is pretty "sophisticated" on both sides. They each know the 30-40% who will vote for their side no matter what. And during the primary, they will focus on these. But the middle 30-40% is what wins the overall election. And it will be interesting to see how the message from each side changes after the primary time as they try and capture the middle.

Interesting piece of history. Typical behavior for a populist dictator.

@taiwan_girl said in Illegal Cops in Illinois: The US military allow non-citizens to join. What do you think? Just so long as we don't let illegal immigrants become cops, like we're doing here.

That makes sense. It should be the person "driving" the car. in a way, if you have a dog, and the dog gets out and bites someone. You are the who is responsible, even if you didn't know the dog got out, etc.

Definitely a response to the negatives he was getting on this. "Well, I was always going to do this. Polls had nothing to do with it." BS Typical politician.

@Jolly said in Just hanging around...: Never been to Singapore. BIL tells me it seems to be the one of the cleanest and most well-run places in the Orient. It is. I never have had a problem there (spent more than one year +), but I am generally a rule follower. LOL They dont have it anymore, but they used to have paper entry cards, and in BIG BOLD RED letters, they had a statement that "drug smuggle was punishable by death". The joke in Singapore is that it is a "Fine" city. A fine for this a fine for that, etc etc. LOL

I don't know what twitter is like, but if you "hover" over a video, it automatically starts playing, and I am pretty sure that would qualify as a "view", but it really isn't I dont think. I think Mr. Carlson is probably still somewhat popular, but like a lot of people who assume they are bigger than they are, once they switch shows, platforms, etc., it is realized that they aren't. However, there will be someone who takes his place and is the next "Tucker Carlson" or next XX person.

@Doctor-Phibes said in Confronting your demons - literally: @Aqua-Letifer said in Confronting your demons - literally: @Doctor-Phibes said in Confronting your demons - literally: My Dark Lord Sauron (may his name reverberate through the ages) could take Jesus any day. The guy wore sandals FFS, and Sauron was about 18 feet tall with a massive freaking sword. Jesus had a bunch of semi-itinerant fishermen, and Sauron had an army of orcs, probably balrogs and shit to boot and a pet wizard. Obviously, Sauron didn't actually exist, so the question is kind of moot. Still, he could take him. Sauron ain't shit without his bling. Pretty weak IMO. Your guy's got chocolate eggs and a decorative fir tree. Good look fighting the fires of Mordor with that shit. Christmas Tree delivery to Mount Doom. Put ring on fairy lights. Delivery blunder into the lava. Your average incompetent UPS driver could accomplish that one.
