skills crucial to combating climate change, such as installing solar panels, restoring coastal wetlands and retrofitting homes to be more energy-efficient. How about identifying causes, accurately? How about skills to take advantage to the many benefits of climate change? Coastal wetlands? I thought they where going away. Homes, energy-efficient, how about affording a home, efficient or otherwise? idiots

They don't have the right to rip artists off, which is exactly how it currently works. That is a good point. If we allow only AI models that are trained using only public domain data, would that address your concern? I'm just struggling with the idea that a paranormal researcher could believe something that had no basis in fact.

@xenon Was the target not part of the same Sikh Temple in Surrey with which the Air India bombers were associated or provided some cover, in the 1980s? Canada has become something of s muggins with regard to foreign interference and activities. We have a highly competent internal intelligence gathering means in this country with CSIS, CSEC and even the RCMP. What do not have and haven’t had for the past twenty years, are politicians and their respective staff who listen to and act upon the intelligence the agencies provide them.

@xenon said in Justin Castreaux on Grocery Prices: @Jon - it's not a whole lot different in Canada. But he used the term "record profits" - which can still be true with small margins. Margins on food are razor thin here as well. The big grocery chains make their money in their pharmacies and non food retail where margins are much higher. There was a time they were in the food retail business. Hasn’t been that way for past 20 or more years. Food is a draw to get people in the doors. Almost a lost leader. I agree, Trudeau is a lightweight. I cannot see him leading the Liberals into the next election.

@taiwan_girl said in Wonder if it will fly again?: @Mik said in Wonder if it will fly again?: Don't know. There can't be that many WWI biplanes left that can fly. That is for sure. (I would think that it would not be that expensive to build a recreated WW1 plane. But maybe so if you tried to be completely accurate.) This one is not a recreation. So it will have to be a repair. Outside of the engine, I would think that would be doable.

@taiwan_girl said in The Most Dangerous Aircraft of the War: For a while, I was fascinated by WW 1 airplanes. I thought It was pretty cool when they managed to synchronize the machine gun with the propellor so they did not shoot it off during the flight. Did you note in the video that Sopwith used a variation of the German system, but then switched to a better hydraulic system?

@George-K said in A Death in Daycare: @jon-nyc said in A Death in Daycare: They both face murder charges in NY and now narcotics charges from the Feds. They kept a kilo of fentanyl on the nap mats. https://abcnews.go.com/US/bronx-day-care-operator-tenant-facing-federal-charges/story?id=103312745 That's a boatload of fentanyl. But...fentanyl is not absorbed through the skin. And gastric absorption is poor, though enough might do the trick. How'd it get into the kids? If it was on the mats, they could have licked residue. I trust it’s Murder 2?

@89th said in We're not showing the replay: I avoided watching it until now. It sucks, and bends completely the wrong way (we've seen this before in the NFL). Honestly, I'm surprised the whole bottom part of the leg doesn't just pop off completely. Poor dude, I'm surprised this doesn't happen more in the NFL with the power and low tackles against running opponents. Not really much of a choice. You can’t go high or you risk a blow to the head.
