@George-K said in What a joke: Just because you can doesn't mean... I agree. With the yolk steering wheel, it just doesn't make sense. I don't always have my hands on the sides of the steering wheel currently. (Also agree with the comment about screens being distracting as you have to look down. If you can feel the volume control knob, you can adjust without seeing.)

That's a George or Bach thing. The only bodies I've ever helped fish through were cold.

@jon-nyc said in Amelia Earhart - Maybe New Clue to Disappearance?: It seems to me that if you find an old plane part buried in the pacific that long it’s thousands of times more likely to be WWII era. I thought so also. But I guess it is a specific "cowling" which people who supposedly know about indicated it was not a WW2 plane. But, I guess they did not realize it when they took the pic, so don't know exactly where it was taken and cannot do further follow up on it.

Funny, and not that far from reality. One of my teachers (Don) was a guy who was in general practice in rural Illinois. He lived in Walnut, IL. He left that to become an anesthesiologist. Anyhow, Don was always critical of how some surgeons would screw around wasting time. When I did a C-Section, it never took more than an hour. I never pinned a hip that way. I hated doing ear tubes on infants. You get the idea. Don's down-to-earth attitude was one of the inspirations for me to choose the specialty I did. He genuinely had fun.

From the BLS report, I thought this was interesting: "In 2022, foreign-born men were considerably more likely to be labor force participants (77.4 percent) than were their native-born counterparts (66.0 percent). In contrast, 55.0 percent of foreign-born women were labor force participants, lower than the rate of 57.2 percent for native-born women."
