    I never really got it before, but I do now. We’re not even empty nesters since Luke technically still resides here and Finley’s got 14 years until college, but it’s a different house with Lucas there… If he goes to Emory in 2025, it will be a drastic change…

      D4 (whom you've met) comes by 2-3 times a week with G2 and G3. It's amazing how the house is different when there are kids around.

      That said, I really enjoy the "empty nest" moments.

              I so get that. Every time my daughter left to go back to school was one closer to when she didn’t. And I felt every one of them.

              Luckily she was in Cincinnati for four years after graduation.
