@Jolly said in Justice Kavanaugh taps the brakes on Supreme Court's sharp move to the right: Or for the cretins that used a pack of scandalous lies to try to ruin the man's reputation. I never understood that strategy. Apart from how disgusting it was from a human perspective, it just didn't make sense, as he really didn't appear that conservative politically. If they'd managed to stop his nomination, my guess is the replacement would have been considerably more right wing. Obviously, dyed-in-the-wool Democrats aren't exactly known for their strategery. But still....

More: https://abcnews.go.com/GMA/Culture/russell-brand-faces-2nd-criminal-investigation-harassment-stalking/story?id=103666069 On Monday, a spokesperson for the Thames Valley Police in South East England told ABC News in a statement that "in the past two weeks, [we] received new information in relation to harassment and stalking allegations dating back to 2018." "This information is being investigated; as such it would be inappropriate to comment on an ongoing investigation," the Thames Valley Police added.

Man, did they get away with one last night. Jets had them dead to rights. I was wondering if the Refs had money on the game or something.

@George-K said in Play Stupid Games, Win Stupid Prizes: @89th said in Play Stupid Games, Win Stupid Prizes: the guy was found not guilty (good) I dunno. Was he in fear for his life? Doesn't look like it. Did he try to escape (other than walking away)? Doesn't look like it. The bar for using deadly force is rightly damn high. I don't think this guy passed that bar. Surprised he was found not guilty. I get where you’re going with this. All I will say is that the prankster did look pretty frigging menacing and is twice the guys weight. It’s easier to say it wasn’t life threatening on this side of the screen than it is from the other.

@Renauda said in "Boys will be boys, and girls will never be boys.": @Horace I actually agree with you on this. It is suicide by other means. I just can’t relate to anyone wanting to this. You're just trading one set of problems for another. You may not be comfortable in your birth sex, but very few people are going to accept you as the other. The advocates are selling a horrible fantasy.

Odd. I mean, I understand the scenario (buy while rates are low, even if the house isn't perfect), but are people so unaware of can happen to rates, the market, prices, etc?

https://gothamist.com/news/nyc-mayors-top-advisor-calls-on-feds-to-close-the-borders-to-stop-flow-of-migrants A top advisor to Mayor Eric Adams on Sunday called for the federal government to “close the borders” in order to prevent more migrants from coming to New York City. “We need the federal government, the Congress members, the Senate and the president to do its job: close the borders,” Adams’ senior advisor Ingrid Lewis-Martin said during an interview on PIX11. “And until you close the borders, you need to come up with a full-on decompression strategy where you can take all of our migrants and move them throughout all of our 50 states.” Lewis-Martin’s comments marked an escalation in the rhetoric from the mayor’s office surrounding the city's migrant crisis. City officials estimate more than 116,000 migrants — primarily asylum-seekers — have come to New York City since April 2022. Lewis-Martin said more than 61,000 migrants remain under the city’s care. The call to “close the borders” resembled comments made by several right-wing members of Congress who threatened to shut down the federal government if strict border policies were not included in a new funding bill. The lawmakers called for the return of a "remain in Mexico policy" instituted under former President Donald Trump that kept asylum-seekers from entering the country until their cases were processed in court. Somewhere I read that the Biden administration has let more people into New York than Abbott bussed in.

@Mik said in My Boys Today: I was very hesitant to open this thread. Glad it’s sweet. Honestly, I was expecting anything, and I mean anything, but was not expecting a picture of George's p*ssy.
