@Copper said in The biggest tragedy in classical music history.: Sadder still, those masters who never composed a note. Somewhat related, but I have thought when I have in a super poor area - maybe there is a kid in the rural village in India who could find a cure for cancer but will never have the opportunity. Or, maybe there is another Schubert here.......

Y'know, they get paid for thinking up that fun stuff. If there is a better job in this country I'd like to see it.

Mr. Bernoulli and Mr. Newton are still with you and the Cessna. The wind is moving over the control surfaces creating lift and drag. That will give you control, but I suspect it would be kind of loose. Good looking always outsells bad looking. Now if the colleges figure out that smart beats stupid, things can start getting back on track.

I have heard of other places offering something similar. I think it is a good idea with almost no negative. The US work age population is getting smaller and smaller so towns/cities/states need good working people. Any incentive will be gotten back via taxes, spending in the community, etc.

@89th said in Anyone use a Butter Bell?: I think we did that growing up. I thought it's not supposed to be out more than 2 days or so? Meh. Most of those guidelines are in CYA territory for the FDA. I’ve never had a stick of butter go longer than a week without being eaten, unless we’ve been on vacation, I’ve only ever thrown out a stick of butter once. That was when we got back from a 2 week trip. There’s little protein or carbs in butter. Mold and bacteria don’t like it. We use unsalted, but I understand that salted will last even longer.
