Hard work sucks, unless you enjoy the moment to moment ins and outs of it.

We'd be better off losing the British style lawn as the default objective and decorating our houses more in accordance with the local climate rather than on that of a country where it rains on about 700 days in the year.

Had a customer that wanted to spend $2K on a used Samick console rather than a Roland HP702 because it was a “real piano”. I told her it’s a real piano in the same way that a Polaroid is a real camera…

No problem with it. Let’s put it into practice nationally.

@Jolly said in A Christmas Celebration: @Axtremus said in A Christmas Celebration: @LuFins-Dad said in A Christmas Celebration: Make the girls topless, put them on a stage in Vegas, and charge $100 per person, and everyone is fine with it… I have seen the nativity scene staged as part of a topless show in Vegas. It's actually very well done. It's only the last 15~20 minute of a 2 hour show, but the actors/dancers did cover up for the nativity scene. And no Santa for the scene; I think the Vegas troupe's nativity scene adhered to tradition even more closely than the Texas Mega Church's version. And so I tell you, every kind of sin and slander can be forgiven, but blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven. That's what Jesus said. Now, ponder on that a bit... How is no Santa for the scene Ax described blasphemous?

As business moves go, buying WaPo was probably profitable. But it doesn't save him from being hated by the younger generations of marxists. They hate all financially successful capitalists.

@89th yeah, he's fun to watch. Looks like he's always making a video from a (different) hotel room too. I guess there's not much else to do during a layover.

It's an older video, although I guess I'm not surprised the twits are trying to imply it's an arrest of Trump. Anyway @George-K it was a staged "arrest" using a private helicopter. To your point, the man's arrested hands magically become uncuffed as he uses them to climb into the chopper.

@taiwan_girl said in $60,000 to replace battery. The battery costs more than a brand new car!: I know it will never happen, but it would have been nice if, from the beginning, batteries compartments were somehow standardized. Kind of like a light bulb outlet or something like that. My start up goal was to have a company that provides battery swaps for cars. You never "own" the battery, just "rent" it. Electric cars would be much cheaper to buy, since you dont initially pay for the battery. You would pull into a "battery station" when your charge was down, the discharged battery would be removed, and a fully charged battery would be inserted. Zero charge time. Just like filling up your car with gas. Maybe in a parallel universe, this is happening. I know I've posted this before, still.... Link to video
