It’s a good piece, if a bit self-indulgent. I read it last month when it came out.

@Doctor-Phibes said in 5..6..7..8!: If I'm honest, many of the most humiliating moments of my life have occurred on the dance floor. I have no wish to increase their number. Then, my friend, contra is for you. By outside observers, nothing's lamer. So you're screwed before you even start. You're already at rock bottom. (There's "I wear all black and listen to subversive music from the safety of my Toyota Corolla" IDGAF, and then there's "I do Appalachian line dancing on Friday nights in public" IDGAF. You tell me which one wins.) Also, massive hippie community. If it's your thing, there are any number organic compounds available that can help put some pep in ya step.

Might as well add one more https://lawandcrime.com/crime/man-bit-off-chunk-of-ex-girlfriends-nose-after-learning-she-got-job-at-strip-club-police/ A 34-year-old man in Texas has been accused of disfiguring his ex-girlfriend in a domestic violence incident, allegedly biting off a piece of her nose after learning that she had been working at a local strip club.

He's a very fast thinker with a wider-than-average vocabulary. He solves the problem of having no rhythm whatsoever and he could actually make a serious go at it.

@Axtremus Thanks. I was able to read it. Very cool, but some of them look a bit distracting also.

@George-K said in Our Man in India: @Aqua-Letifer said in Our Man in India: none of it is on the up and up. That's my point. "Let's find the weirdest, funniest, most charming, most disarming people we can in this country and put them in our series." Yeah, but they're not playing it straight and they're not trying to put one over on you with that. You're in on it.

Exactly. On any given project only the top person had any inkling of what could be considered a substantive part of the overall progress or state of the project itself. Everyone below was in their own silo and acted as more as gatekeeper of information more than anything else. All bosses had their personal fiefdom.

@LuFins-Dad said in NR: Biden's Brazenness on the border: I’ve got an objection to it on moral grounds. I am done with omnibus bills. I’m for Ukrainian support, I am for Border Control. Put each issue up for a vote by itself. They fly or they don’t . I can support that.

@taiwan_girl said in Do you use a inefficient vaccine?: @Renauda I dont remember. It was pill form, and the side effect that I heard was effecting eyesight, but maybe nightmares was another one. Never took it, and fortunately, never had malaria. Come to think of it now it wasn’t shots but rather a series of pills. I don’t recall them saying anything about eyesight being affected. Just the nightmares and then only after a few weeks of talking the routine dosages . I suspect the drug had to accumulate in the system before the side effects started to manifest.

Lamar Jackson saw his shadow so now we have to deal with two more weeks of Taylor Swift.
