@George-K Gone are the days of staining your own deck or painting your own shed with the hard stuff...enjoy your water-based primer unless you have a connect. Who would save us from DIY projects if not the government? I find the water based hybrid stains made by ICI stand up better to weather than any oil based exterior stains I used in past. Minimal odour as well after application.

@Mik said in France enshrines abortion rights in Constitution: I would assume so too. But Le Monde prints this blurb: The decision by the US Supreme Court to strip women of the right to abortion has reverberated across Europe's political landscape, forcing the issue back into public debate in France at a time of political upheaval. Which is of course nonsense. Perhaps they should rename themselves Le Merde. How is that nonsense?

Hell, I was arrested on three felony charges way worse than that in high school and I was never cuffed. The only time I was ever cuffed, as a matter of fact, was on Sunset Strip. Those guys were serious pricks.

I know face recognition is already used alot at customs posts in airports, but received a notice before a recent flight that I could "opt in" to using face recognition and would not have to show ID during the pre check station. I did not "opt in".

@taiwan_girl said in Caught on tape!: Is not a teleprompter pretty common for politicians? When it comes to giving speeches, I assume it is. When it's an "impromptu" visit with some constituents, or a ceremony, I doubt it. It might be, but I'd be surprised.

SOB deserved his impeachment. In a Just world, he would be removed from office.

Always seems like it is the "second to market" that is successful. The first one usually has some problems or is not big enough to scale up their product. The second one can see where the first went wrong. (Unfortunately, I am not very innovative)

I suspected that would be the case so it came as no surprise. Thirty odd years ago, my friend’s dog - a corgi cross - was skunk sprayed twice on the same day at the family rec property about 75 miles west of here. Early morning then again that evening. For the rest of that dog’s life - ten or more years - any time that mutt got wet the sickly stench of skunk would permeate the air around him.

If the USA has dollar value issues, the "ripple" effect will look something like this: [image: 1709562344850-79343cbd-6a58-40b1-bc4a-69748bab64f3-image.png]
