@Jolly said in No Michigan?: @89th said in No Michigan?: Some fair points in there, and if Trump were smart and follow his normal process, he'll make statements in Michigan that hint at being a peacemaker and deal maker.... Oh, I'd harp on that, but I'd also remind that large Muslim community that you came here legally, and I would love to do more for you, except for our porous border and the illegal aliens... He should also campaign on the fact that the Biden Education Department is forcing policies on schools to allow activist teachers to queer their children. Muslims are very upset about that. Of course, Trump’s own education department was nearly as bad. They didn’t actively promote policies, but they sat back and let the educational system rot, so… Yeah.

Here we have the track kitchen, an ages old fixture at the former harness racing track. Cheap, decidedly not upscale and really good food. [image: 1709259208067-img_4214.jpeg]

Jesus. In my youth, I dated a girl who went to the U of C undergrad. It was interesting to watch her transformation from a sweet Catholic girl from suburban Chicago to a far left radical. Of course, this was the late 60s, but it is representative of how the U of C was, back in the day. At Northwestern undergrad, we were much more restrained. But to see the MEDICAL school's students... Go back to anatomy lab, you morons. Learn the foramina in the base of the skull and the branches of the brachial plexus. It will come to be much more useful 20 years from now. Some pharmacology wouldn't hurt either...asshole.

@George-K said in Battery Plant in Arizona: Chinese IP in our boxes. Not opaque boxes, transparent boxes with Chinese IP. What could possibly go wrong? Yeah, that’s what I hope you can tell me — what do you think could possibly go wrong?

Saw George's thread that brought me to this one. This article goes into the qualities that make a country safe. Of course wealth, education, justice system... I know Singapore comes to mind when I hear of safe countries. I've heard you could leave an Apple MacBook Pro out on a counter top in a coffee shop all day and it will not get stolen. That being said, there are hard to define (and politically incorrect, I guess) reasons why some countries are safe, too. I'd say very generally there needs to be a collective culture that expects safety and has a unified set of values. It's hard to have that in poorer countries, or countries with external conflicts, or countries (like the US) that is a melting pot a mixed salad of cultures with some resistant to assimilation for a more homo cultural experience. Homogeneous, of course. https://worldpopulationreview.com/country-rankings/safest-countries-in-the-world
