When my nephew was walking the Appalachian Trail, he had fallen in with a couple of other young guys...That tends to happen a good bit...You may walk to the next stop or even do a few days together.
The three of them had a high pucker moment. They're walking down the trail and a bear cub crosses right in front of them. They stop dead still and hear Mama calling for baby. They quickly grabbed their jackets or blankets off their pack and huddled together.
Mama lumbered out in the trail and gave them the eye. They stretched out their coat and blankets above their head, making themselves as big as they could, and started yelling. She stood on her hind legs and growled at them to shut up.
God intervened and baby started squalling for Mama, and Mama took off on the run to find baby.
My nephew and his two trail buddies took off running, too. And didn't quit until they were a half mile down the trail...
