@taiwan_girl said in Tonight's dinner: @Mik How was teh corn ice cream. Awesome as always. Fun to make, too. I used twice the corn for a stronger corn flavor. Even better, my SIL was in the area and came for dinner and overnight. Did not make the chicken dish as I would have had to go to the store. Instead I made penne with the fresh tomato sauce with buffala mozzarella, burrata and suateed chicken. Delicious.

@George-K said in Kass: "Years after 9/11, the political use of fear continues on": one thing is constant: the political use of fear. This is so true. For me, I think that the gun issue uses fear the most of current issues. Both those who are for guns and those who are against guns - fear is the reason that they have their point of view.

I’ve had a desire to rent an RV and do a 3-4 week tour of the west, which is something I still plan to do when my kid is old enough to appreciate Paul Bunyan’s handiwork.

Either we have standards for elected officials or we don't regarding this issue. Frankly, I'm fine with either. At least let's be consistent and not attribute your evasion to the fact that you're running for a "lower" office. But @jon-nyc , I see your point. Lindsey should have known better than to make this an issue while wearing blinders on the Trump issue.

If there are no more indictments releasing the report prior to the election will hurt Trump. And it should blow up all that Q anon bullshit.

When did it begin, where completely stupid and asinine reasons became viable and somehow equally considered as truth? For godsakes, did all the adults leave the planet?

I'm taking LD's advice these days. Keeping it cool, but the very next goddamn thing that happens, I send out my letter.

The grocery stores with delivery and curbside pickup are doing well. Other grocery stores may struggle. I wonder how the smaller grocers are faring. They may be fine just because more people eat at home and cook at home now.

We have flexi-time where I work, but you're supposed to be in by 9am. Typically people start between 7.30 and 8.00. I was once told off by my former boss for getting in late (at 8.15). Tosser.

@jon-nyc said in Puzzle Time - The out-of-shape postman: Note also that the distances between the houses don't matter at all. The ‘official’ solution came out today. When discussing a generalized version of the problem, it pointed out that for odd numbers of houses the distance between them matters, but only a little. In the case an odd number of houses you start and end at the center house and the one closest to it. Otherwise the solution is identical and scales to any number of houses.
