the "lives are priceless" idea is nonsense,

    Yes, of course.

What do insurance companies think of the price of a life these days?

Is the demand for insurance going up? If so is the price going up?

    Maybe both are going down.

Those guys could give you a reasonable number to put on a life.

I can see that. Kitchen real estate is precious.

Have I told you how much I love my Breville?

can't move the thumb joint still. I think I have a secondary rupture of that tendon in the wrist. I felt a sharp pain there once while the primary rupture was fresh and I accidentally flexed that muscle. i think the tendon was in a weird position and tore itself. If I'm right then there was a length of tendon there between my wrist and thumb totally disconnected from anything else. One end got connected in surgery and I think the other end is still detached. But the doctor thinks this may be just a "block" on the tendon sheath. I could use an MRI but they're not doing those according to the doctor, due to the virus.

The student left a couple weeks ago, she's back in japan now I think in home quarantine. Her school here won't be re-opening this year.

Beaches can be controlled, but it will take considerable personnel. They are probably about the easiest public spot to control.

They'd point to anything. At this point, the coyotes have howled so hard, for so long, at so little, it's mostly just background noise.

Always hated those too, Mik. And in Manhattan, that's pretty much all you get. It was very common for the distance between you and the stranger beside you to be less than the distance between you and your date across the table.

    That's over with. Maybe forever.

That was an accident. A happy one, admittedly, but still an accident. And it will make its own CO2.

It turns out that My Favorite Redhead is an absolute expert on this stuff, having sold disinfectant wipes and chemicals, and taught about them in boot camps around the country.

What you need to look at is:

Kill Claims: What the product is supposed to kill. You want a broad range of things killed.

Dwell Time: The amount of time the agent has to remain wet on a surface. A shorter dwell time is better. We are using Oxivir TB Wipes, which use hydrogen peroxide and have a one minute dwell time. If the wetness dissipates before the dwell tie you have to re-wet it.

We found that it's also a good way to mix up the random crap that's available in the way of groceries.

It will vanish like fart in the wind. I sure wouldn't invest much in it, but it might be a good way to get some folks to work if you can get the PPE. The odd thing about all the economic destruction is the pandemic is also creating a whole lot of opportunities.

It’s not an easy checklist to pass but I think the most interesting aspect is that it is bipartisan and contstitutes House members. Like finding a zebra in a pack of horses.
