You beat me to it. I was ready to post something similar, and I knew just what colors, too.

Fully jaded people would say either choice is just as bad.

The interesting part is that those that want to be in the middle and just want their return to normalcy are being forced to choose. Those on the left that believe Trump will win wont allow themselves to realize that their fear is that enough in the middle will go Trumpā€™s way.

Deciding that both choices are equally bad is a personal failure, but one that people seem to be contented with.

I suspect that a Trump will lose big time, but I have witnessed enough new data to come in of late that Iā€™m not so sure that Nateā€™s models know how to deal with the uncertainty of the next 100 days.

Iā€™m a big fan of data but Iā€™ve also seen it be so much less predictive of late than I thought possible.

@Axtremus said in Humanoid Robot with AI to become Hollywood actress:

Nah, after ā€œacting,ā€ the next qualitative jump for AI powered humanoid robot would be ā€œdirecting.ā€

It won't, and it will suck terribly.

And you know what's fun? Your counter-argument is going to be all the proof I need for my own, which is that you don't even know what movies are.

    Wanna spin?

Bikers and cyclists learn it as "ride like no one can see you."

The one thing these people want is attention. Itā€™s too bad ignoring them is not a viable option. I know I would. I donā€™t view it as an aggression toward me just a mental health issue that person is facing. The constant level of anger must make their lives nearly intolerable for them.

Trolls want desperately to be fed.

    I knew that. Very cool.

I saw that recently as well. But in the last year I also saw a documentary on the mystery of the statues and it is amazing that no one thought to look below the surface.

Yes, it seems to be the same solution indeed. In that solution, the partial sums of both clock-wise and anti-clockwise movement are used and I use only one direction (hence my list of partial sums is only singly-infinite, not doubly-infinite), but I think that's a superficial difference.

Nice! But I do have an unfair advantage in this case: It's somewhat similar to things I do for a living (such as: proving termination or confluence of certain state transition systems in theoretical computer science).

It is tough. I realize how lucky I am. Things are as "stable" as possible, but I see and hear of so many others with problems and major concerns. Makes mine look very small.

The authors are apparently two folks from the dept. of materials science, and one from the school of dentistry at Athens university.

I wonder if they're undergraduates - there's a noticeable lack of letters after their names.

Skin color is the most important thing right now. But an interesting new gender would help.

Thought we did gender, or decided gender, last year.

Yeah, we really do need a timeline of sorts.

I remember when we were all going to die because of muslims, or terrorists. Something like that, I forget. And, things were getting blown up and such, so that rights had to be taken away for our own benefit. Wait, no, that's now due to Covid, and how it spreads mostly in churches but not at protests. Something like that, I forget.

Seems to me, we should just get it over with. Make all white males guilty without exception, past, present, and future. Except for Marty McFly's dad, also known as the mayor of Portland, also known as Ted Wheeler. He's OK. He's one of us, or one of them.

Ax, help me out here. Is a white male far-left mayor one of us, or one of them?

    Would it work?

Depends on who gets to define ā€˜workā€™.

Would you support a system that gave upstate New York a bit more power in the election of statewide officials?

No, Iā€™m an individual rights guy. I donā€™t like the idea of trying to equalize group outcomes at the expense of treating people the same. It doesnā€™t matter to me if you define the groups by geography or ethnicity. Itā€™s conceptually the same.
