@brenda said in When it rains...: @george-k said in When it rains...: Holy cow. What next? Locusts? Wishing her a break from all this agony. Hope your hand is better, too, George! Shhhh! Don't speak things into existence! Although a locust invasion during Biden's first 30 days would be pretty neat.

For us Netflix is annoying. It can take a long time to load and sometimes will need to be rebooted.
  • Well that didn't take long.

I don’t know. It’s a broad mandate the commission has and he has republicans on it too. Not to mention you don’t get 51 votes in the senate to expand the court. Seems like he is going through the motions to placate some faction or another.

Saw a video on YouTube, where a guy was making pet crates out of 2x4's, 2x6's and rebar. The crates did double duty as end tables for smaller animals and tv tables for larger animals. Might work for grandchildren. Would make a fun project.

@xenon said in ________ Studios: Monetization model is tough. Hard to get people to leave the house to go to the movies. Big movies win... big movies are risky... risky = generic, repetitive IP. But I hear what you're saying. Attack the cost side... cheap movies with good writing can be monetized differently. I agree. The target customers are primarily the streaming services, with "cable" channels being the secondary market.

@Axtremus If it works correctly there won’t be any need for me to use that skill. I’m glad to know you aren’t working on it.

I think Yascha is making largely the same prediction as Renauda. It is what it is, I guess. Sure, the politically viable folk are not white males anymore. But the politically viable ideas are as they always were: safety, security, opportunity.
