You probably grew up listening to and watching his mother, no? yes and no. I remember her more from my university years. Can't say that I cared for her journalistic style; she was a terrible interviewer. David is a far more astute analytical pundit than his mother..

I’m not sure an ex-post executive order is going to hold, but it should probably make a bunch of would-be ‘vaccine entrepreneurs’ think twice.

No, airline food is actually quite good, especially if you fly some of the more reputable Asian airlines. Singapore Airlines, Eva Air, Southern China Airlines, Cathay Pacific, etc. serve pretty good food onboard. Even American Airlines' food hasn't been that bad in the last few years.

@mik said in Old white men need not apply: Most people who are qualified to participate are successful people with some experience. People without experience in administration or boards or whatever usually end up being dead weight that wastes time. Subject matter expertise, likeability and trust are what matters most.

@klaus True. Let’s say instead “due to all the work done to explore whether Goldbach’s Conjecture is true or not, we can safely say that...” Since Goldbach’s conjecture has been verified up to ~10^18, and we only need it to hold up to 198, that should work.

Trump is a whiny, small man. Having money doesn’t change that. A "whiny, small man"...... Jesus. Oh you’re right. He’s a magnanimous man who lets irrelevant slights roll off his back. He doesn’t do anything that’s beneath the office he holds. I just think it's funny watching a whiny, small man complaining that someone else is a whiny, small man. Well you shoulda recorded yourself typing this out, then put it on repeat. You’d have non-stop laughs.

I just watched this documentary, Knucleball, last week on Amazon Prime. Niekro plays himself in a few brief appearances. There are not many knuckleballers left. Everyone tries to throw it, very few actually make it. We had a catcher who used to throw knucklers back to the pitchers as a joke. It drove them crazy, it was hilarious. https://www.amazon.com/Knuckleball-R-Dickey/dp/B08F2RJXFD/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=knuckleball&qid=1609122683&s=instant-video&sr=1-1
