Prisoners of Geography Ten Maps that explain the world has an excellent chapter on China that helps in understanding the “why” here. Maybe it was somewhere else that I read that one strategy is to migrate non Muslims to the region to breed out the “dangerous” element.

@Klaus said in Puzzle time - square or circle?: @Axtremus your solution looks promising, too, but you also made a very trivial error near the end. Ah, indeed I have, that’s when the tawny port kicked in.

The names of the suspects were redacted and no one has been charged with a crime. The status of the investigation is unknown. In a statement on Wednesday, a DOJ official told Business Insider that "No government official was or is currently a subject or target of the investigation disclosed in this filing." @jon-nyc said in Vote shares: Trump 2020 46.9 Trump 2016 46.1 Hm, that's interesting. So he profited less from the electoral college system in 2020 than in 2016. It suggests that he either gained votes where he was already strong in 2016 (but got no additional EC seats), or that he gained votes in places where he was weak in 2016 but even with the additional votes not strong enough to gain a seat. I guess it's more of the former.

Ah, right. I forgot that one needs a bottom plank. With 10 planks, my result would be correct.

And to think...In those days, the U.S. almost didn't have an amored division, more like an expansion of a Calvary Brigade. By the end of WW2, America fielded 16 armor divisions and we were building tanks so fast, there was a M4 coming off the line every thirty minutes.

I would never call that tinfoil hat stuff. It might or might not be correct, but (reasonably interpreted) it’s not crazy. (I didn’t watch the videos, just read the tweets)

@Copper said in Shanika can't read.: What is needed has been posted here thousands of times. Parents. Parents committed to the education. A decent education is possible without parents, but it is rare. All the money in the world is useless. It is hard work. You can't buy it. There is not a broken system. There are as many systems as there are cities and counties. Those with heavy parental involvement are excellent, those without it are not. Agree

@Larry said in Maybe “Kraken” was just a misspelling of “Karen”: @jon-nyc said in Maybe “Kraken” was just a misspelling of “Karen”: Yeah to be honest I didn’t think it was she who set it up. It’s more the idea that people think this is qualifying. But then I guess ‘she’s a fighter’. Heck, I'll bet you someone bought the name "presidentbiden.com...... lol And someone probably bought (https://keepamericagreat.com) LOL

@Jolly said in In Milwaukee: ocals on one of my old prescriptions. No problemo. That's the way it should be - at least with what's going on in the world. I found a company in Canada that would ship to the US - but it was triple the cost of what it was from the UK.
